    Photo posting antiquity.

As a newbie I accept and acknowledge that I might be a tad unpopular for raising this topic, but I do feel that is my duty as an interactive member of the modern electronic age.

Whilst I can understand that elderly people don't appreciate change and that that old adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it" is held by many to be truism, surely there comes a time when the irrepressible force of progress can inspire even the Mods of this esteemed forum to actually update stuff.

I speak, of course, of the antiquated and clumsy photo placing tool thingy. It's shit.

Can't we get a new one, please?

    Absolutely nothing.

I do know, however, that since the age of 2 when my sainted Mother, may she rest in peace, took me into the bathroom to bathe me, as was her wont, and then proceeded to drop me due to her abject fear of spiders that I also am a sufferer of that insidious fear.

I particularly like the big hairy ones whose natural habitat seems to consist entirely of the back of toilet rolls..

The question the OP poses comes up every month or so.

A lot of posters (in my opinion) are probally put off with the process of posting pics unless they are ripped straight off the net.

Hats off to those that do the travel and food threads.

    You know who you are...

Oh. I have no solution. Those that post pics will, those that can't be arsed won't. End of.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

There are easier options than using the forum's gallery but those who complain loudest about using the gallery also complain about using the easier options.

I think the gallery is straight forward to use

For me it was a case of getting me head down one night and taking the time learn some basic computing terms.

As much as others had offered advice being a complete novice I was never going to figure it out without doing so.

The present system is a bit of a time consuming chore but should be a piece of piss for anyone with basic computer skills.

Now all I need to do is master this photoshop malarkey

For folk like you unluckydim fortunately there is a website called Photobucket.

Get yourself an account there upload your pics and then simply copy and paste them into the little yellow house thingy on TD

Ok got that ? when you get your pic uploaded into your bucket album you will see a list of options in 6 white boxes on the r/hand side of your image simply click the 5th box down it says IMG then come back to your TD page and paste it in the yellow house thingy
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs

The system to place and post images here is not terribly difficult once you become familiar with it.....

I believe Nooners [et al] might be frustrated with the mechanics of it all.
It is a step process that might be updated - outside of that, it's a reasonable system.

As mentioned numerous times throughout, on can upload/c&p items from photobucket, FB, etc....and the mechanics are nearly the same.

One can simply c&p an image straight from the internet on to your post - but take the risk of being hotlinked. Where the established storage galleries will automatically prevent this from happening.

    It is a sport.

"The objective is for the male to carry the female through a special obstacle track in the fastest time. The sport was first introduced at Sonkajarvi, Finland and originated as a joke supposedly reminiscent of a past in which men courted women by running to their village, picking them up, and carrying them off."
