I just had a post from Bangkok come up on my FB page here in PI.

Facebook is not blocked in Thailand

I'm surprised it took them this long. I suspect Twitter will be next.

The Facebook website has been blocked in Thailand on Wednesday afternoon. Social media users across the country have not been able to access the site since 3pm.

seems that way, I just posted up the fact the BKK Post says its been blocked since 3pm. Interesting to see if posts inside Thailand come back.

I just accessed it through a proxy, but it doesn't give the full layout.

Can still get fb and the post in Bangkok, and the daily mail, no proxy, what happened to that 'ban' ?

It is completely normal and running for me. I am getting comments back on the post that it is blocked. Strange.

BBC told that Facebook outage is a gateway problem and will be back in half an hour with some LM pages dealt with.

Perhaps they are preparing to offer so new advice for users.

It not working for me I've tried to get hold of people in junta land and nothing.

Old stories are there but no contact with the people I was talking to.

I do as well butters. But if you do have a nice group of friends around the world its a nice way to keep in touch. It has led to a 40 year reunion while I am home in the states touring universities with my daughters. I like it...

you either dont have friends or dont like social contact. If you think I sit and chat all day I dont. I look up friends and we talk. Quite simple, in fact circumventing the whole concept of face book.

are you confusing virtual social contact with real social contact ? god, your life must be sad and empty

again posting selfies and reporting your boring life online is hardly a demonstration of an active social life
