Fancy title
Ok I had an email from my daughters school this time (uk) telling me that one of her teachers would be off school due to an operation (hope she pulls through ) . Anyway they informed me that an ' emotional literacy support officer ' would be on hand to help the pupils during this time . Can anyone tell me wtf emotional literacy is ? And why would someone need supporting during it ?

Britain's gone mental. Primary school teacher's aren't even allowed to use the word no.

The teacher was stabbed by one of the pupils, so the rest of the class cannot celebrate, they have to be taught how to cope with trauma.
Never had this in My school days, when at school two teachers died, one from a heart attack in his thirties, the other in a car accident, we rejoiced.
They could no longer cane us.
