    The European Election

France see traditional parties in minority, with FN declaring 25% of the vote

everyone is tired of being told what to do, and having our local politicians blame their incompetence on Brussels

    something has to change,

I hope BNP and UKIP will have strong results, so the European Commission get the message

we still don't get to vote for the European commissioner, despite being told otherwise 5 years ago

It is also a major slap against immigration as France really took a turn to the hard right. Europe is close to turning off the spigot of immigrants.

it seems that the BNP votes went into UKIP and the Green

Labor won the votes directly from the Conservatives, +7 -7

Conservatives and Lib Dems are the big losers in this election, time to call a new general election ?

UMP and PS big losers in France, probably will have to go for another general election too

please note that the "Centre" right parties did quite well elsewhere, so not everything is lost, there is hope

You are a fool. The BNP is diametrically opposed to the values of the Greens. The UKIP took all of the BNP vote as people realise that the BNP is too far gone.

Only in states that have a good economy. If the German engine that drives the EU starts to falter that nation will have the biggest nationalistic swing since the 1930's.

as a yank, you are speaking out of your ignorant fat arse as usual

in European politics, transfer of voters are not as retarded as American politics

the BNP votes are "protest" votes and so are the greens, so it's not usual to see transfer between those votes. Also a leftist economic agenda is not incompatible with Green and extreme right wing, regarding Globalization. Defining rigid politics linage like we used to is definitely gone in a world of turbulent globalization.

if you listen to FN political agenda, it's line by line identical to the PdG (former Communists PCF),

the extreme right is now meeting the extreme left, that's how the circle is complete in a truly global world.

The shame is that if all of the voted for representatives in Brussels basically wanted their own country out of the EU, there is nothing they could do about it. The unelected puppets who actually run the EU would never allow anything to destabilise their regime, so all that would change would be that the EU would be a visible farce, where as at the moment, it is a farce, but one where a lot of people still believe in it.

If these results pushed the like of cameron to have a referendum, at which no doubt, the people of the UK would vote to leave the EU, then that would rock it to its core, especially if the UK and France did it in tandem. Germany would be sat looking at footing the bill for 300 million "Europeans" by themselves, at which point, merkal would be booted out as well. But would the EU collapse? Doubt it. I reckon that before that happened, they would pull Israel into the mix, and then anyone asking to leave would be labelled anti-Semitic prior to being attacked by the USA.

Nice to have an election. Nice that people think their votes mean anything. But, as always, they mean nothing. On the bright side, Nigel makes cracking youtube viewing, and at least we'll be seeing more of this.

have extreme group in the European Commission means that all the silly projects to "open" the EU to global abuses will be stopped. The other brain dead MEP were being payed off by Americans or just too brain dead to care.

It doesn't matter if UKIP and Le Pen get 100% in their countries, they can't work together against Europe. It's against the nature of nationalists to cooperate with nationalists of other countries, they loath each other the most. And honestly, how could they be against Europe with the agenda to place as many as possible of their bureaucrats in the European parliament, in nicely paid and secure jobs? What a farce.

The left did well in a number of countries, Germany amongst them. The business-friendly party FDP dropped from 11% to 3% for breaking a taboo, they appointed a Vietnamese as party leader and finance minister to the previous federal government. Germany is not to be ruled by bloody Asians, that's the message.
