Not perusing much anymore and not keeping my head down but it seems most threads these days turn into shit slinging matches; not really worth it anymore. And yes, I am an American.

I know, didn't want to add to it.. Sadly many of the troublesome Brits have been pardoned but no Americans.

With a name like Merrimack you must be related to Monitor, or from Virginia. I thank the development of this muscular healthy frame to lifetime of hamburgers and pizza.

Me mum and dad met, fell in love and and proposed marriage in a London bomb shelter. Thanks Yanks!

You arrived late and insisted we pick up the bill.

^ You know what they say? Better late then never.. Besides how was it "late" when the war was still raging for several years even after our involvement? Rhetorical question BTW, troll.

FYI the bill wasn't entirely yours, nor monetary. We lost thousands of our grandfathers, fathers, brothers and sons many of them on the beaches of France and every year they honor that instead of throwing it in our faces that we were supposedly "late".. But being a snobbish and pompous Brit I don't expect much more from you..

A little history lesson, we were there long before you realize in the form of support with supplies and logistics help and even a squadron of American pilots to help you in the Battle of Britain as you were running low on pilots.. If anyone cares? They were known as the "Eagle Squadron" and were instrumental in many battles won by and on behalf of the British, probably why you don't know about them because they served mostly without notice or appreciation like the rest of our country obviously did, you're welcome...

It always amazes me how our involvement then and now obviously is always considered "late" by British trolls but these days we're vilified for moving too early and not minding our own business or supposedly being intrusive in others, if that doesn't label you as contradictory hypocrites then nothing does, you can't have it both ways.. Now go troll another thread will ya?
