It's official - women should not exist!

Council of Islamic Ideology declares women’s existence anti-Islamic

Islamabad - Sharia Correspondent: The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) concluded their 192nd meeting on Thursday with the ruling that women are un-Islamic and that their mere existence contradicted Sharia and the will of Allah. As the meeting concluded CII Chairman Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani noted that women by existing defied the laws of nature, and to protect Islam and the Sharia women should be forced to stop existing as soon as possible. The announcement comes a couple of days after CII’s 191st meeting where they dubbed laws related to minimum marriage age to be un-Islamic.

After declaring women to be un-Islamic, Shirani explained that there were actually two kinds of women – haraam and makrooh. “We can divide all women in the world into two distinct categories: those who are haraam and those who are makrooh. Now the difference between haraam and makrooh is that the former is categorically forbidden while the latter is really really disliked,” Shirani said.

He further went on to explain how the women around the world can ensure that they get promoted to being makrooh, from just being downright haraam. “Any woman that exercises her will is haraam, absolutely haraam, and is conspiring against Islam and the Ummah, whereas those women who are totally subservient can reach the status of being makrooh. Such is the generosity of our ideology and such is the endeavour of Muslim men like us who are the true torchbearers of gender equality,” the CII chairman added.

There you go, know we know why Islam is so frightened of women - they shouldn't be there!

Problem with moral perspective, lemming, is that morality is subjective and very easy to influence, especially when everything you choose to read / view / listen backs up the same moral stand point you chose to associate with. For example, the majority of links you post are from groups of people who are more or less pro war, pro death, pro "them and us" based upon colour, religion, race, and therefore your version of morality is influenced by this. I unfortunately have to read this stuff as well, and yet I also tend to prefer pro peace, pro life, pro togetherness, pro reality articles and therefore my perspective on morality is substantially different to yours.

I also can see the clear difference as well, and understand that separate groups put out information that benefits them themselves, and usually only them. This applies to main stream media just as much as it applies to blogs such as IDFBlog.com that piwi relies on for all his "impartial" information. Mainstream media has editors who job is to a apply the editorial standards that those who run or own the media product want saying. None are impartial.

So rather than your typical condescending attitude, perhaps you can start to understand where your version of morality comes from.

Anyway, in looking at your Source for this piece of typically inflammatory "You must hate other people" garbage, a tiny amount of research shows us the following.

Despite the name "Pakistan Today" which all sounds very old and traditional and must be a good source, we can see that it was founded in 2010.

The person who founded it is Arif Nizami, who owns the publisher Nawa Media Corporation, having worked most of his life for Nida-i-Millat Group, that belonged to his daddy. He is the product of the Elites of Pakistan who are pro capitalism, pro USA, because it makes them richer and more powerful.

Until recently he was FEDERAL MINISTER FOR INFORMATION & BROADCASTING of pakistan, which he held in a temporary capacity for a couple of years. He is a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party, who held office prior to the 2013 election during after which he lost his job. The Pakistan Peoples Party is a pro american, pro faux democracy, pro capitalism party and very much led the country that way. They lost to the Pakistan Muslim League - lost by a land slide in fact.

The "news paper" you are quoting from is anything but a true news outlet but is full of his opinion pieces and nothing more than a political tool.

No wonder you like it so much.

The CII meeting also advised the government that to protect Islam women’s right to breathe should also be taken away from them. “Whether a woman is allowed to breathe or not be left up to her husband or male guardian, and no woman under any circumstance whatsoever should be allowed to decide whether she can breathe or not,” Shirani said.

The content is laughable, but when you understand the source, it is meant as anything but a joke. It is meant in incite hatred. When you look at where this "article" has been reproduced (all the hate sites and blogs basically which is where lemming got it from no doubt) you can see the purpose behind it.

Best pop this in the dog house where it belongs - opinion pieces have no place in the world news section.

    Oh my, pseudo you have a few fires to put out. Your beloved Guardian was running with this story;

Turkish deputy prime minister says women should not laugh out loud

He denounced the excessive use of cars, saying that if even the "river Nile was filled with petrol", there wouldn't be enough to go around. Arinc also slammed the excessive use of mobile phones in Turkish society, with women "spending hours on the phone to swap recipes".

Imitating a Turkish woman on her mobile, he said: "'Is there nothing else going on? What happened to Ayse's daughter? When's the wedding?' People should say these face to face."
    thinhttp://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/29/turkish-minister-women-laugh-loud-bulent-arincgs

And this comes from the PM of a country that supports Hamas. Cool.
This should cause some uncomfortable moments for the trendy armchair leftists of Europe.

Oh dear. It is a very funny piece and rich in irony. Pity some have failed to see that. Oh well, I imagine it resolves to many who cannot conceive a Pakistani could possibly have a sophisticated sense of humour and the gall to express it.

Their society may well be a car accident in slow motion but that doesn't mean all the occupants are necessarily stupid or ill educated. To think they are is in itself quite stupid and racism of the worst sort, redolent of the nazis and their Jew phobia.

You seem to be stuck on sources, issuing indignant condemnations whenever something threatens your oh so cool 'moral perspective'. Could be why you dwell on the source, rather than the content.

Since you clearly do not approve of the source, are you saying there is no such thing as a Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), or it does exist but did not issue that ruling, or that it issued a ruling which is being taken out of context, or something else?

Aside from showing your ability to use google, which my daughter can do and she still wets herself, what is your defence to the idiocy of Islam, this time?

Say a wrong word in Pakistan and cities burn...yet this "rag" is permitted to take the piss out of such a free and fair religion?

Or of course, nobody in Pakistan capable of reading has stumbled upon this blasphemy, so stand by and wait for the peaceful riots when some poor sod does.

Leemo - everyone is assuming your OP is a joke. Everyone is laughing at you because you take it seriously.

Council of Islamic Ideology is an advisory body. one of many. There is no necessity for anything they say to be made into law. They can say what ever they like, but it makes no difference, and luckily the people in charge of Pakistan see them for what they are - a group of idiots. You take them seriously though? hmmmm

You think I am Pro Muslim (because you are very very simple) but I am not. I am pro people - people. No one is BORN into a religion, and on that basis no person of one religion is more important than another, or a person with out the need to follow a religion. We are all born the same, and I see no reason to join in with the propaganda activity to stir up hatred between us. You have picked your side, the nutter extremest of islam have picked theirs, and so on and so on, and its all there to distract you from what it really going on.

People are being killed to make money for a small small tiny percentage of the population of the world. They need your hate and ignorance to get away with it. You carry on with your hatred and bigotry all you like, but it makes you part of the problem because you buy into it. I do not.

So anyway, what is your defense for your idiocy this time?

It is using religion to stir up anti government sentiment in Pakistan. That is all it is doing. Then the hate rag nutters you prefer to corner with pick it up and use it to your own ends - you take a Muslims anti government piece, and take a muslims word that it is true, and use it to try and say that all muslims are scum and need to die. It is idiotic how brainwashed you are.

Pseudo, you have finally said something I can agree with. All religion is BS for the reasons you mentioned and also to keep the masses in line. Without religion, where would we be? We would still be killing each other because there would be no religious beliefs stopping us.

I will not go further into the religion aspect because you are right, it is about the people.

The article comes from Pakistan Today. As today in Pakistan is still 1400 years behind the west in social / religious development.

The article should read something like this?

Iislamabad - sharia c'rrespondent: the council of islamic ideology (cii) conclud'd their 192nd meeting on thursday with the ruling that distaff art un-islamic and that their m're existence contradict'd sharia and the will of allah. As the meeting conclud'd cii chairman maulana muhammad khan shirani not'd that distaff by existing defi'd the laws of nature, and to protecteth islam and the sharia distaff shouldst be f'rc'd to stopeth existing as lief as possible. The announcement comes a couple of days aft'r cii’s 191st meeting whence they dubb'd laws relat'd to minimum feath'r-b'd age to be un-islamic.

Aft'r declaring distaff to be un-islamic, shirani explain'd that thith'r wast actually two kinds of distaff – haraam and makrooh. “we can divideth all distaff in the 'rdinary into two distinct categ'ries: Those who art haraam and those who art makrooh. Anon the diff'rence between haraam and makrooh is that the f'rm'r is categ'rically f'rbidden while the latt'r is really really disliked,” shirani said.

He furth'r went on to explaineth how the distaff around the 'rdinary can ensureth that they geteth promot'd to being makrooh, from just being downright haraam. “any woman that ex'rcises h'r will is haraam, absolutely haraam, and is conspiring against islam and the ummah, wh'reas those distaff who art totally subs'rvient can reacheth the status of being makrooh. Such is the gen'rosity of our ideology and such is the endeavour of muslim men liketh us who art the true t'rchbear'rs of gend'r equality,” the cii chairman add'd.
    Technically that is Shakespearean but...

No matter what it says in the old testament that nobody takes any literal notice of, women are persecuted in Islam and do not have equal rights, ever heard of a female Imam? Allah would be so proud, beat them, rape them, murder them:
