Statutory rape, that is, after puberty but before the age of consent.

He got 5 years nine months minimum of three years, quite a let off it seems. Did he deserve it or longer?

At 84 the length of his sentence probably doesn't make much difference. He'll know that his entire life will be remembered as the guy who got jailed for indecent assaults against youngsters.

He can rot in his cell and reflect on the damage he has done to his own family and the lives of his victims.

One of them is quoted on the BBC site:
Speaking after sentencing, she said the jail term was "immaterial".

"I feel fine, I think the guilty verdict was actually what I wanted, what I went to court for," she said.

I recon Rolf will do easy time. In no time flat he will be Entertaining the Crims and they will forget he Touched up the girls.

Their all scum in there anyway so he will fit in fine.

He did not rape the young girls so not at the extreme end of Naughtiness.

He will only do 2 years and out on good behavior anyway.

He's an Old turd now so the Judge give him a free kick.

Get his money is the best thing that they can do.

Potting an 84 year old chap for nothing more than a social crime is symptomatic of the increasing absurdity of Britain's' penal code. What purpose will be served? Is he a continuing threat? Will his incarceration deter anyone else? Of course not. Quite daft but typical of clueless judges too timorous to stand up to a neurotic DPP.

Chap has been exposed and will live in shame for the remainder of his life. His family has been destroyed. So what's the point of banging him up?

The money grubbers will doubtless be queuing up with their writs whingeing and whining about their 40 years of suffering and trauma because some randy Antipodean fiddled with them.

Well, at least his conviction has served one useful purpose: we shall never, ever have to listen to that ghastly song of his, "Two Little Boys ", ever again. The trial was worth it for that alone.

Molesting a 7 year old and screwing a 14 year old when he was 48 'social crimes' ?? The point in banging him up I would have thought was one of justice, i'm sure his victims feel somewhat better seeing him pay with his freedom for what he did to them. However, I do think some of the claimed effects on the victims of a pat on the bum or a kiss etc were somewhat exaggerated.

I don't think the victims would be making any of this up.

Rolf should have his balls/cock cut off.

You're a fine one to talk ! Kicked out of Gulliver's and causing a public nuisance on the Skytrain is worthy of being banged up and you are lucky you are still a free man.

indecently assaulting a girl who was 7/8 years old
multiple assaults on a girl from the age of 13

disregarding the neurotics who have come forward with complaints about bottom pinching etc., and solely on the basis of the two depraved offences above, which in any sane persons opinion amount to far more than a social crime, he deserves a lengthy incarceration if only to give the victims some sense of justice.

    crimes must be punished.

looks like plod now has the house of commons firmly in its sights.

No they're not Terry, we could cast the same aspersion on all of you Aussies' forefathers, but if you did look up your family tree, you'd probably find some poor fukker who only nicked a loaf of Warburtons

The attempted analogy implicit in your opening declamation eludes me. Perhaps you might care to explain it. The subsequent assertions are neither true nor relevant to this thread or the posts within it but perhaps there is some other, as yet unexpressed, issue you may wish to introduce.

I am given to understand you may be a Welsh person in addition to a pompous little prig. If so, it perhaps explains your evident intellectual impoverishment.

    Probably a shortarse too.

Tax, in several societies, and certainly within the past 100 years for most others, the deflowering of a an adolescent girl is not a criminal offence. That it attracts such opprobrium in the UK now reflects the social changes which have been much concerned with the notion that sexual attacks on young folk are taking place minute by minute and everywhere. Quite hysterical really. But there it is, what was quite permissible within British society until comparatively recently is now " depraved ".

" Arrgh, she be a fine wench, started to bleed and can carry two pails of water. She's ripe for it "......... Not an unusual comment heard in rural communities up and down the length of post war Britain. Certainly, up in Yorkshire most brothers experienced their first sexual encounter courtesy of their sibling.

Tax " Madame Defarge " exile is indignant, again.

Slavery, burning at the stake, and flogging were quite acceptable not so long ago too.

It seems that your time in Pattaya and undoubtedly time spent in one of Isaans medieval backwaters has rendered you insensitive to such abhorrent activities as shagging ones stepdaughter, playing stinkfinger with underage relatives and the selling off of female family members and cousins to the highest bidder in order to increase the family income, seen as quite normal in some parts, but definitely not cricket in the civilised world.

is this you by any chance?
