At 84 the length of his sentence probably doesn't make much difference. He'll know that his entire life will be remembered as the guy who got jailed for indecent assaults against youngsters.

Potting an 84 year old chap for nothing more than a social crime is symptomatic of the increasing absurdity of Britain's' penal code. What purpose will be served? Is he a continuing threat?
