The old perv was dumb enough to write a letter to his victims father begging for forgiveness for abusing his daughter. Of course he now says she was older than 13/14 but I reckon the jury will go with the girls side. How long should he get if guilty?, transportation is too good for him!

There are six weeks of the trial to go, and harris's defence team will obviously say that the letter refers to his involvement with this person in her adulthood.

Isn't it better to let justice run its course rather than gossiping like a granny curtain twitcher?

I really wonder about the proclivities of people who witter on and on about this sort of stuff on forums.

Wouldn't it be better to keep it with the other tut tutting blue rinsers on the daily mail forum?

Although back in the UK, I must confess having trouble keeping up with the supposed catch so far from Operation Yewtree ( Saville, Starr, Davidson, Clifford, some 80 year old broadcaster from up north).

When I was a lad it was the News of the World giving the lowdown on soliciting in public toilets. There is perhaps something in the point alluded to by an earlier poster that the Brits especially like a bit of tittle tattle of this nature. If someone had been abusing me at the age of 14/15 I would be avoiding them long before I was 28.

I fail to understand how one can be raped thirty times as in the case of one person. Surely if it's not consensual, then you don't go back for more. It smells a bit like the injury claim culture now prevalent, where TV adverts are pushing you to make claims and you share the proceeds.
