Come one, the powder stuff requires effort and is reserved for occasions such as getting your bird to cook you macaroni cheese.

For simple mustard making activities it requires Hellman's Mayonnaise.

You know the big dollop is right.
Mayonnaise in mustard? Are you some kind of pervert?

Dude - where do you live? Surely once a quarter you can get to Pattaya, Chiang Mai or Bangkok and fill your larder? Hell, most places would even stick a big bag of goodies on one of those crazy vans for you if you order large enough quantities. Hell I feel sorry for you now - even I might!

Not really - I am very picky though, so tend to keep an eye out when out and about.

Oh dear, where to begin? Stuff I've missed over the last 25 years of living overseas, and pig out on when I get home:
Cornish pasties, pork pies with an egg in the middle, Guinness extra cold, liver and bacon, cottage pie, emmental cheese, steak & kidney pie, Bakewell tarts, Bournville dark chocolate ( bloody big bar kept in the fridge), doner kebab, butter chicken curry takeaway, ham carved from the bone, thick orange peel marmalade, cheese on toast, Heinz tomato soup, Cross & Blackwell's tinned spaghetti with the little sausages inside, roll-mops, Camp coffee, Mars bars.

You are what you ate as a kid. Ah happy days!

How far are you from Surat Dirk.

    Just yesterday I bought:

    Lurpak (slightly salted)
    Waitrose Cumberland sausages
    NZ Lamb (rack and steaks)
    Waitrose Pizza
    Shreddies and Weetabix
    Bisto onion gravy granules
    Cajun Pork loin
    Assorted cheeses
    Deli counter ham
All in Tops at Central plaza. Surat also has large Makro Lotus and Big C stores.
Heart of Gold and a Knob of butter.

I live in Songkhla Town, 26 clicks East to the coast from Hat Yai.

I have no problem living without this stuff but when somebody says they'll take an order I'm on it like Wallace and Gromit!

Well in reality you should get together with some of the other boys down there, put together a shopping list, and one of the shops in Pattaya no doubt would stick it on a bus for you.

Sorry to burst the bubble but Pattaya is not the Thai centre of the western universe.
Phuket, Samui and Surat are all fairly civilised regarding western delicacies, and much more convenient. It's just that Dirk is a lazy git.

This is true, but I challenge thee to find a distributor of Rowies in Thailand!

If you haven't had one you haven't lived.

When you're surrounded by it, it's hard to choose. I run around Sainsburys a salivating lunatic.

I would suggest a selection of cheeses but it doesn't travel well.
