I paid about 25 English pounds for postage when I ordered them so why were they not delivered to my apartment, or at least the post office opposite. They were not even at the next nearest post office. Instead I had to take a taxi to Bang Na central post office where I was met with a faux friendly Thai smai of the usual default insincerity and told to pay a further 1,200 baht before I could receive them.
I know this is wrong and greedy but is it standard practice when receiving goods from overseas which have already had the postage paid for?
Perhaps the 25 quid was just the delivery fee from Kettering to LHR, in which case Royal Mail have inflated their prices outrageously since I was last back in Blighty.
