Chopsticks. How many of you can use them?

Well I have laughed at many of your posts. You lot seem mired down in your limey knuckle dragging ways. I was just curious as to how many of you can properly use chopsticks?

    I can, too.

However, if I have to eat food with my hands, like Indian or Middle Eastern, I make a real mess and embarrass myself. Someone will always push a spoon my way.

Yes i use chopsticks at Chinese restaurant usually.. however i find trying to eat noodles with chopsticks really really fucking anoying.

The act of sticking some noodles in your gob with most of them hanging out, and then proceeding to grab the hanger out noodles and shovel them in your gob most anaesthetic.

The Italians were definitely on to something here...

    Of course..
When it's call for or appropriate.
They're a tool of practicality, not a novelty.

[was born with them in my hand]

Also been known to eat with my fingers when the occasion is called upon.
...and spoon/fork [items introduced to the "civilized" world by the Chinese] when appropriate.

Some are still taken by the mysterious Orient.

    Innocent guttersnipes.

You had to learn quickly or you would of gone hungry very often.

Of course. Prefer Japanese style chopsticks, but no problems with chinese style chopsticks.

First and foremost, one would require to cast away your ingrained Eurocentric historic prospective and mindwashing.

    Good luck, mate!
