Never understood all the complaints about advertising on the site, surely the owner can make money out of his own website.

I got no problem with the owner making money. Just baffled how he/they intend to do so with Thai language ads. Stick the viagra ads back up instead imo.

Chrome, Ad blocker - never have to see any of the crap.

(Doesn't work at work, but I don't use work computers for this site anymore...)

i think the smelly pussy thread is also another cunning marketing ploy.

Possibly because the owners a Thai.

Well, It would explain the otherwise inexplicably stupid policies now inflicted on the forum and the petty and spiteful way in which such a large number of posts and threads are being deleted without comment. Stupidity and pettiness have become the order of things here.

This has been a growing disturbance over the last year or so....
Has to be a admin policy, as the mod team is quite sound and reasonable - they've been around here for quite a time and understand the character of this particular forum.

Don't kill the messenger.

TD a mongers forum? Kinda doubt that- more of an ex-mongers forum really.

whether he was thai or not does not mean anything, if my info is correct the admin has been here from day one of this forum.

The only conclusion I can derive from that is the the new owner is Patsycat.

but recently the forum has changed direction, unless your purpose was to drive revenue, you were fucked off. in my case, without even the civility of notice or advice.

Such is the momentum and the membersip, it will continue for a while.

Sooner or later, it will require some guidance.

hmmm got that flashing heart ad on everything including yahoo for a while ..don't know what I did in browser but gone now...
Does anyone actually read or react to the ads on web sites....wonder if the advertisers actually ever do any ROI measurement?

Logs on here as Xzyte but very rarely posts.

He is not the new owner as he was DD's partner before he passed away.

And yes he is Swiss and a hell of a nice guy socially.

From what he told me others pull the strings here and he mainly finances the forum and involves with the techno stuff.
