With your record in the ladyboy sphere, you can hardly blame me for experimenting with whisky and syrup

It's end of term exam time so last night I was helping the daughter revise for her science exam today.

If I was a plant I could just sit in the garden and create sugar by photosynthesis instead of going through the expense and hassle of drinking cider.

Well its really more of what I did drink. Was fixing a heavy sliding wood door yesterday that wouldn't move freely. Been bugging me for months and we have guests coming up for the holidays that will use it. While I really love wood doors and windows, they constantly swell and shrink.

Sounds like me in my younger days.
Wooden doors? Not next time. You might think that they'd cycle through something between the wet and the dry seasons but no, they just seem to warp permanently. Sometimes they refuse to close and other times they sort of close. Whatever they do they never, ever warp back enough to align the original bolts with the original holes.

Yeah Shu, They sure look nice but are work. Even with long aged Teak, they still are constantly moving and swelling/shrinking. Fortunately I do not have windows. Just internal doors, double main doors and the heavy slide door inside.

There were 3 packs in Makro so I bagged them all.

Yeah, its not all that common to find. Its a good tasting IPA. Not to hoppy where you feel you need to wash your mouth out after every sip.

Actually there was a communication meltdown and my Mrs checked them in to stock at the bar, so I've stashed them behind the other BeerLaos and will drink them when I'm there.

I did try one already but it was still warm so I poured it over ice and drank it fast. I'll give it a proper try next time.

I quite like the Maha Nakhon IPA and Pale Ale too. You can see them behind the Stella.

    Cheers.

    Friday night in Korat.

I must admit that sometimes while supping a Leo, I reflect that my social life isn't all that I'd like it to be.

    Saturday night in Korat.

Slightly livelier than Friday but there is still that something lacking.

I like to make something of the weekends since now that I'm home a lot more I've made a conscious decision to (almost) stop drinking during the week. Instead, I've got into the habit of eating a portion of the wife’s durian for pudding before going to bed which seems to have resulted in some really weird and freaky dreams. I don’t know if it’s the absence of alcohol or something in the durian, but something must be causing the dreams because I don’t usually dream at all, or at least I don’t usually remember them.

A couple of nights ago a particularly disturbing dream culminated with me getting a blow job from one of the dogs, at which point I thankfully woke up. Luckily it was one of the females or this would really be getting a bit weird. I think I may go back to having a couple of drinks during the weekday evenings because now I can barely look Coco in the face.

Are there any dream interpreters out there? I hope it doesn't mean that I have some sort of a problem.

Well I am not going there on what the dream was about with the dog but on physiology side, stopping drinking can cause people to have dreams, sleep poorly, become agitated or irritable. It's part of the withdrawal. It will diminish as time goes on unless of course you like dog dreams.

Now that I work from home and have, I made a very conscious decision to make sure I keep a line between M-F and keep weekends. If I don't do it, the days just blend together and I lose track of which day it is. While some may call that retirement, I need some structure to keep my sanity.

Don't you ever go out ?

Surely there are places in Korat, where a man can tell a few jokes and get drunk.

You can always pretend to like football or something.

Or are these places full of brits ?

You need a weekly day off

If that's a dream what do you interpret as a fucking nightmare?

    Was it a wet dream?

I eat a lot of cheese on toast and have some weird dreams sometimes and that durian stinks like French blue cheese. Maybe it's got the same kind of properties?

But....My dreams have never been as fukked up as that.

Was Maya cupping or caressing your balls at the time?

Hang on it wasn't Anna or that even uglier fukking thing with the big ears was it?

^ How dare you, Coco isn't ugly.

She hasn't got big ears, she just has a small, pointy head.

Durian and YaDong or Ciders. Wasn't there some story about mixing Alcohol and Durian. Might explain the dogs.

    Dig you wake spooning Anna?

^ What happens on Anna's chair stays on Anna's chair.

Anyway, I've been off the Ya Dong for a while now and last night I finished the wife's durian. I'm hoping for a normal sleep tonight.

You know Durian is the most awful stuff, serves you right eating it and having hallucinations and weird dreams.

It's definitely a Hate it, Love it food. Never hear anyone say It's OK. My wife loves it. Her sister will kick your ass if you get it anywhere near her.

Good to hear on the gardener paint stripper solvent. Long term consumption will definitely shave off a few years.
