^ Needs a slug of Ya Dong which surprisingly enough has many medicinal benefits.

But no Ja Dong for me any more. Due to spending a lot more time at home than usual, I've decided to stop drinking for a while before it starts creeping up. I now just have the occasional cider.

'Korat Chef' in Korat now stocks Thatchers Haze, Rose and Cloudy Lemon along with their usual stock of Thatchers Gold. Bottles of Thatchers Green Goblin, Katy, Rascal and Vintage are on the way.

Korat is finally becoming civilised and all it needs now is for the temperature to drop 10 degrees and the humidity to drop by 50% and it will be bearable. A decent Western style bar wouldn't go amiss either.

Anyway, a glass of Thatchers Haze (my first ever in Korat) in the rain last night.

Why do you sometimes spell Ya Dong with a J, Mendip? Ja dong? Are you a German or have you spent too much time in Scandinavia?

That is strange and I have absolutely no idea Nev.

I thought maybe a typo but the Y and J are diagonal from one another but not really in typo territory.

    I'm definitely not German, danke.

Maybe I have spent too much time in Scandinavia but it's a bit of a mystery. I'll try and stick with the Y in the future, although I've stopped drinking the stuff now.

So you have stopped from midnight to midday?
I applaud your efforts, I can't do it unless I empty the house of booze completely first. Not being civilized like what your Korat is, I am terminally bored here by the time the cocktail hour arrives. And it arrives when I say it arrives.
I usually manage a dry Monday. Nothing at all. I can't do the 'just one' thing, better for me to have dry days. As you did offshore.
Anyway good luck with the intake management and when Korat get's added to the Bolshoi's summer tour then let me know. I guess they'll be looking for some new venues now, you never know.

Mendip, apparently Korat chef have Sarson's malt vinegar, dandelion and Burdock and IronBru too. A visit is definitely on the cards.

^ Aah, good point. I finished my vinegar last night with my pla nin and chips.

Korat Chef are expanding into what was the George and Dragon next door. The current shop is going to be solely the bakery and the old George and Dragon will be the shop. At least I think that's what the owner said on Sunday. This will enable them to to increase an already varied stock... I even picked up a couple of tins of Bird's custard powder and some Aunt Bessie's treacle puddings. It's well worth a visit.

I also noticed Ruddles County and a couple of other proper beers but I seem to stick with the cider these days.

^^ I only started this new regime yesterday Shutree so It's early days...
