Black Velvet seems to be the order of the day, following the death of the Queen.
Unfortunately, ingredients unavailable up here so I'll have to wait for the funeral before trying it.
Well Friday it is and the wind is a blowing and the rain is a comin. Pull up a chair and reeeeeeelaxxxxxx..
Fucking hell, JP. That looks great. Three more months and I'll be back for the first time in over 4 years.
Btw, anyone up for a pint in Bangkok around the end of December?
Good ole' water!
Quit alcohol till next summer at least.
Feeling great!
Is peroni any good. I see it here all the time and it's usually quite cheap. I usually stick to the asahi 500 ML cans 5% $70 from Dan murphy, what I've noticed here in oz the bottles and cans got smaller and the alcohol % got lower, cheeky bastards eh. There are some fantastic craft beers but there not cheap,
Peroni is a good drink. Made in Italy. The green bottle is a pale ale, and if you are lucky you will find the Peroni red which is a slightly darker beer and tastes more hoppy.
What's your tipple when you're in a pub, nammers?
Half a mild and a babycham chaser?
^ I rarely go into pubs Hal but when i do i like an IPA or a citrussy beer, none or your, Dill or Chitties shitty norvern monkey lager
EDIT
my local used to be Wadworth 6X
Mrques de Requena fantastic Rioja from Autol, 4 euros in a shop 8 in a bar for Reserva , top notch 12.5-14 frm that srange zone wher ePias Vasco , La Rioja Soria in Castlla and Leon cllide with Komunitet Foral Naffaroa, photos to follow, outstanding stuff
Vino de Rioja Marques de Reinosa
Unequalled under 10 Euros a bottle IMHO
I tasted 'em all the Red Reserva worth every penny, a "Froggy connoiseur said teh white is Ok" high praise from her.
Had a couple of these 1 liter Hops Brewhouse micro brew last night. Pretty darn good
Ahhh. Last night on the balcony enjoying a knock after a long day of work. Descent middle of the road Rye whiskey.
A pretty good Cote Du Rhone, i'm not a big fan of some these 14% reds but this is a cracker. It is a Morrisons Finest and 25% off when you buy 3 or more so 20 in the wine cellar. it was cheap before the reduction but its 6 odd quid after discount which is ridiculous. 14.5%
New The Old English opened on Friday. Right next to Thong Lor BTS. Haven't been yet but should be popular. Bit like when The Black Swan was under the BTS too, hardly ever been there since they've moved.
