I stand corrected, after reading the link Lom posted about Iron Balls, its a steal at 1190 bht for a 330ml as the write up says its 1400 bht for a 330ml. Still pricey

An interesting read. Usually I'd be up for trying a new gin although two extracts from that article caught my eye:
The nose will be familiar to anyone who grew up in England; so strongly does it smell like the pink and orange Fruit Salad chewy sweets of childhood that you can almost feel the paper getting stuck to your teeth.
and
At just under £30 (1400THB) for a 330ml bottle, the gin is expensive
If someone else is buying I'll be pleased to try it.
Unfortunately gin is my one drink that I haven't been able to touch since an overdose incident at 15 years old. I'm sure we've all got one.
^^^^ Gin and tonic, love the stuff.
^ Rum and black, a teenage memory.
Another great combo in which I partook tonight is the the Leo and Ya Dong. What a way to spend a Saturday night!
Fantastic! Even with the bullet holes in the wall behind.
Not too bad, I usually prefer the big peaty ones, but this has got character.
^ Yeah, nice one... I wouldn't mind a little snifter of something decent right now.
But sadly it's Saturday night in Isaan...
Just finished watching a movie with the kids, time for their bed and I might have another few drams of that bottle.
I'm off the Ya Dong!
I decided that even if it does have less calories than beer it wasn't doing me any good.
In fact I'm limiting my beer intake generally to weekends, although I did have a heavy couple of days in Bangkok this week. I make exceptions for trips away.
Tonight an iced Leo with no Ya Dong chaser. Just the job after a very hot day in Korat.
^ May I ask why your hose is so small?
I thought you were being a bit personal there before I checked the picture.
I often sit on a stool by that hose in nothing but my underwear to give the dogs a good shower and de-tick/flea session. The short hose is perfect for that.
Also, it's great for washing your feet, filling up water bowls, watering cans and lots of other short range work. But most of all I guess it's because I haven't got round to buying a proper hose for that water station. There's even a rack on the wall above the tap to coil on up on.
^^^^Up up and away, superdog
A FEW proper draft Guinness
KW sometimes, your posting, i assume on a phone is fooking confusing, i was trying to work out wtf FEW stood for
Cheeky splash of bubbles to celebrate International Laydeez Day with a viewing of the female protagonist animation The Last Dragon
If only they had used more SEA voice actresses instead of East Asian ones it would have been less culturally appropriative and more politically perfect. They also missed a great opportunity to make fun of all the SEA accents by using safe bet Merkin accent voicing
Also celebrating the dawn of the age of the heavy bomber, which was ushered in with the farewell bow of my newly acquired Handley Page Heyford. The largest biplane to see service before the RAF took delivery of their first behemoth 4 engine Short Stirling and still in use as a trainer at the opening of WWII
It's funny how things work out.
On the way to pick up the kids from school tonight I had a call which I needed to concentrate on... so much to the local's bemusement I reversed in to a space to have a chat. No sooner had I started talking and there was a knock on the window. It seemed that my reversing skill pride was a bit premature as I'd squashed this girl's 'no parking' cone.
She was not happy and obviously angling at some compensation... and then I noticed that she'd come out of a 'Liquor Store'.
Easy, I was going to buy a Leo anyway at some point... and it just seemed right to get a cheap bottle of red as well.
As I left I said, 'sorry about your cone'...
'Mai pen rai'!
I could do with some simple vodka recipes for drinks. I'm locked down stricter than ever and all I have left over from the lunar new year is a bottle of okayish local vodka. I can get basic mixers and juices from local stores in a 200 meter radius, but going any further could lead to arrest 555
^ I never stray far from tonic water if I'm drinking vodka. Long glass with lemon and loads of ice.
