I didn't find it too sweet, HH, but it was certainly very fruity, more like apple juice in flavour, much more than most ciders. I liked it though. Very refreshing. A few less bubbles in it and it would be wonderful. Thanks for the info on the apples. I didn't know that.

Its been years since i had a Saffa, Waitrose 25% off 6.....I'm borrowing Chitty's bonnet. The Green Lentils are readying themselves to marry 2 Kgs of pork shoulder and spinach with another VindaMadrasaLoo 10 months past its sell by date.

I'm drinking Exogenous Ketones (powder) with water.
It's brewed spitting distance from Munich. As a weissbier, you should use a straight glass, rinsed to remove any dust, and not iced. That way when the yeast drops in a good head of foam will be produced.

They are the ciders that I like too, very refreshing with loads of taste, although I prefer less gas. Somersby cider is similar but I haven't seen it in Thailand.

There are a couple of other ciders I've seen in Thailand with a similar character, Troy - Savanna cider (from South Africa) and Three Oaks Cider (from Australia). Both are nicer than Somersby, IMO.

^healthy looking brown bun there Toot. That earns you a burger and a bottle of red by way of reward.

Got myself a 1kg jar of Malt Extract.

It does a crackling job of livening up a timid ale.

The John Boston has been languishing since a workmanlike debut but the Malt extract raises its score a couple of points.

James Squire 150 lashes is another solid but pedestrian ale and the magic Malt warms it up tad.

The malt aroma is pungent and the maltose is not as sweet as syrup so you can put more of it in.

Homemade Hibiscus/Rose Petal wine. It's so dark red it's almost black. I got all arty-farty and leaned a mobile phone with a torchlight on to the glass to highlight the dark redness of this four-week-old vintage.

    ^ 2019?

been getting through quite a bit of this stuff of late, you have to take care as i poured a glass and and its so peppery it makes your eye's water from the fizz. £2 for 750 Ml, nice but not sure about the diabetes quotient.

hnz, that drink looks amazing. How did you make it?
^^Ginger beer, yum. The ginger beer in the UK, doesn't compare to our Root beer here in Canada. The UK version is much stronger.

^ Root beer and ginger beer are very different flavours (unless your Canadian root beer is actually ginger beer).

...I enjoyed a change from my usual weekend bakso: a generous pour of Absolute vodka over ice with a splash of tonic and a squeeze of fresh lime...then took a seat on the balcony to watch the monsoon...

I like tonic with gin, not vodka. For me vodka is either a martini or with dry ginger ale.
