^ I've never watched Starwars, so had to look up 'Yoda' when it was mentioned. It's a great name, but we've already got a Yogi and that could get confusing.

She's a funny little thing and for sure wouldn't have been offered a home or survived if I wasn't stuck here with no work. I reckon nursing her back to health is doing my daughter the world of good as well, and the littlun will surely have some of her own name suggestions.

I'd like a name to reflect these times for future memory, but if she escapes I don't want to walk around the neighbourhood shouting 'Corvid'. So maybe something a bit more subtle.

In saying all that... a home isn't a definite yet. The Commandant has noticeably avoided the subject... which is good news but not a given. It'll cost me, for sure...

What has the world come to... no more Leo to be had anywhere.

Apologies to Betty for the horribly mis-matched glass and beer, but these are desperate times.

One thing I love about baked potatoes... I'm not mindlessly having a couple of beers while my daughter plays on her pc inside... I put two potatoes in the convection oven, so I'm cooking!

And anyway, what better way to spend a Friday evening than watch a bunch of puppies playing on our 'lawn'?

And if you think it sad to have a drink alone, not a bit of it!

I can't say how glad I am to have bought three boxes of Chang at 30% over the normal price...

... the day before the powers that be changed their minds and allowed alcohol sales after all.

No, never tried it. Never even heard of it to be honest.

I used to quite like Chang Export but now that's gone I just buy Leo without really thinking.

I'll have a look tomor... oh no, it's another dry day. I'll look on Thursday.

I think it's probably the export with a new name. I do not know but it's pretty descent for a go to the local shop type beer. I am not a ice with beer drinker so I got it chilled in my freezer then poured it in a chilled mug.

^ It would be the vodka with tonic for me as an afternoon drink.

The gardener's found a new source of Ya Dong so I thought it prudent to test it on Tommy first...

Seems to be pretty par for the course.

Lots of Shifterness on this page, so I'll offer my comments to the masses:

    1) G&T has become metrosexual, especially in fancy branded bottles - avoid.

    2) Ales have become metrosexual, especially in fancy branded bottles - avoid.

    3) All Dutch beers are crap - avoid.

    4) Anything with the name "American Eagle" upon it is £$%@$ - avoid at all costs.

    5) Chang is bad - avoid.

    6) The Star Wars set can be had from iApple TV for £59.99 - bargain.

I'll leave you with a thought:

    @ BB,

    Fair enough on your comments.

    My rebuttal,

Chang Cold Brew is way better than Chang Classic. Please be specific

American Eagle is a very good middle of the road Bourbon. Its great with an ice cube. Its not as tasty as say a bottle Buffalo Trace but WAY above say Sangsom or 100 pipers. By comparison Buffalo Trace is a Kentucky Bourbon and American Eagle is Tennessee and their process and grains are different. Now if you are solely against the name "American Eagle" because its to "Merkin"....I understand....

You, Sir, are one sick individual!!!

Any terrible beer served colder is an improvement. I don't know anything about bourbon, but the name is worrying - it's the inherent machismo that's all wrong.

(A few posters have asked me for Michelle's private correspondence details...)
