Thread: What are you drinking today?

For xmas gifts I make mixed 4 packs of wanker beer. Its an excuse for me to try a few and give away the ones I don't like. (not my pics)

Beerfarm Asam Boi Gose.
A salted plum sour Gose - I'm getting a real taste for these sour beers, very enjoyable, love the sour / sweet -maybe not to drink all night but a couple - lovely. There be a few more these downed over xmas.


Ballast Point Fathom IPA
hoppy but not too much - a bit fruity - reminded me that I should revisit a few of the old school pommy IPAs that are hoppier than skippy the bush kangaroo.




Dainton Blood Orange NEIPA (New England IPA)
Definitely got the blood oranges with the smell and taste. Was pretty good but I think the fruity beers are better as goses or weisses.
Was a bit pricy so probably won't be a first choice in the future - I'd like to try it straight out of a tap on a hot day.



Padded out the rest with Beerfarm IPAs and IPLs - on a hot evening the IPLs are delicious.

At the supermarket today, spotted this Xmas pack: 6 x 1 pint cans plus a nice glass for 260 baht. I hope they taste nice, I'll start with the IPA while I watch Miami Vice...







I think it's Lithuanian beer? Did I ever mention the time I met a gorgeous Lithuanian woman at a club in Talinn? Took her back to the Radisson where I was staying and had a manic sexfest which included throwing her out into the hall (100% naked) for 15 minutes while I had a shower between shags; quite a feisty wench she was and because I'd only just met her, I didn't trust her in my room with my wallet and stuff while I had a shower (drenched from sweat from shagging session no.1), I asked her to get dressed and wait for me at the bar, but she refused to, so I picked her up and stuck her in the hall... She was still there after my shower, a bit angry, but she soon calmed down after I threw onto the bed and... Right sexy bint she was... I will drink these beers in her memory!

Did I ever tell you about the time that I worked at BZW in Docklands? Well, only worked there about 6 months, but they had different passes (red and blue) with different security levels... &, the day I started, there was a new security guy who gave me the completely wrong security pass, he gave me a blue pass with all level clearance (which basically meant I was a director and could go anywhere)(I worked as a technician so should have gotten a red pass as a contractor, but with high level clearance to get into every area of the building.)... It turned out that anytime you were around folks, the first thing they'd do is look at your pass (which had to be attached to your shirt pocket) and work out how important you were and thus how they should treat you... I was a nobody, but got the utmost respect from everyone... On Thursday the trading floors would close at lunchtime and champagne and food would be bought in for all the traders and upper level management to get pissed up... I'd pick up as many bottles of the best champagne I could find and walk out with them - this wasn't actually allowed, but due to my pass no security guards were ever brave enough to stop me... Sometimes, I'd get so pissed that I'd go to the adjoining hotel and stay in a penthouse suite just signing my name off with my BZW pass (they had a whole floor of suites put aside for employees). Oh, happy days... I got found out after about 6 months, but they were so embarrassed that they just told me to fuk off and not come back... BTW, the traders were absolute thick as fuk muppets...

Okay, moved onto the next one: Hefeweizen...



Also tastes decent. I thought this 6 pack of three different beers would be bad, bad and bad, but actually the IPA was really nice and this one is middle of the road, decent.

Now, have I told you about the time I was in Berlin for a business meeting, went out on Sunday night drinking Hefeweizen, met a really pretty Polish student, got totally shitfaced, took her back to my hotel (the Hilton Berlin, KarlMarxStrasser or whatever it is called), got absolutely fuked, so fuked up that we didn't even have sex, but I did get banned from Hilton Hotels (and associate hotels) worldwide. I still have the letter somewhere from Hilton - it's fukin hilarious... I'll send me mum an email and see if she has it; if she takes a pic and sends it to me then I'll post it here.

Now, before Cyrille comes and says he's not interested: I don't care because me bestest in mate in the whole wide world does listen to me!
