Arrow Why pick Thainand for long stay or retirement?

I travelled widely mainly for work
Considered Oz Portugal and Vietnam but always hankered to return here.
Forr al the corruption, inefficiency and minor visa hassle haven't seen anywhere more suitable .
I love Prague Penang and Copenhagen but prefer countryside and detached house with a plot.

    How about you why LOS?

I love the food, mountains may have been beach 2 weeks in 25 years, At level of when you have seen one gaudy pastel painted shrine youve seen the all but the real culture in Lanna is a calm well fed friendly population, as well educated as me and content.

I had a year or so in Sukhumvit around 2000 and few months C maoi c rai but I prefer calmer village life , which with hi speed net , tv, online shopping even of lux/imported foods has never been easier.

Immmigration has never been a problem and annual renewal an hours nonsense

At present not over bothered Bout cost of end of life health care are rising as are the March April temps burn/heat hiatus which if it contiunes will mean more air con units, bigger bills, sp costing paynack on solar esp if e Cars become practical here, charging points are rare.

    Charging points rare ?

Thais, that I know, would tap in to your wires, if you went for a Piss.

    It would be anarchy

Do you call them 'brown outs' ?
