We used to call it "minesweeping" back in the day when times were hard.
Risky business back then.
You had put a pint down and turned your back for a second then it was gone.
Even minesweepers were sweeping minesweepers!!
No honour amongst minesweepers.
It got to epidemic levels at one point back in the early 90's.
Pissed of with this mallarky one night, I took an empty pint glass to the toilets and filled it with piss.
Returned to the bar where I left it then casually pinballed to a safe distance to observe.
Almost immediately a giant of a beer monster appeared from nowhere and sunk the lot in one and wondered off in search of more bounty without a second thought!
Priceless!
Shalom
Never tried that Joe, but I shall give it a whirl.
Tonight I was on the festive red jingle bubbles.
Leeloo from Luc Besson's quirky 90s sci-fi The Fifth Element with a very good head-sculpt of the Ukrainian actress Mila Jovovic
She has been weathered to match action scenes battle damage in the movie but I might painstakingly and lovingly remove her weathering with rubbing alcohol and a cotton bud (to get in those nooks and crannies) to restore her to her opening scene vestal beauty
McDonald's special-sauce cocktail risk...
Quirky is definitely right. Some good scenes though.
I remember MJ being 19 years old during filming and getting into a relationship with the 36 year old director. I was probably 14 and did look into a career in movie directorship.
Those costumes are something else in fairness.
BLD's missus employed on minesweeping duties!
On a serious note, doesn't she run the risk of getting into trouble with the hotel in the long run?
I know some restaurants can be especially precious about taking leftover food and I imagine most hotels would think similarly about taking guests' forgotten property.
No her and her mates have open slather..if they checked out and left it then it's the cleaners. Only 2 cans of a beer today. Not award winners but fuck it that's $10 saved
The hotels near the airport and 99% of there guests are fly in fly out workers in the mining sector. They might book in for a night then there company tells them it's 3 nights..so they buy a bit of stuff for the fridge. Most use small planes and are weight restricted. If the cleaners didn't take it it would be binned
Most people are Kunts.dont believe me? Next time you see a group of people. Shout out OI KUNT watch em all turn around.
New nickname for Mrs bld. The Mine Sweeper couple of days back there was a couple of cans of Hard Rated lemonade 4.5% wasn't that hard but quite refreshing on a hot day
Not only the bevvys. But the hotel has a policy of when the guest checks out the Toilet roll is immediately replaced with a new one and the half or 3/4 used ones are supposed to be binned
Nah. Still got a good 4 or 5 asswipes in em. Even though I'm the only bloke in Perth to install an ass gun. Look at all the trees we are saving. I'm all for it.
Haven't bought bogroll for ages
Probably could of made a motza during covid when the daft counts were boxing on in the aisles of aldi for a bogroll.
If only the fookers would leave even MORE beer. Pretty sure they know they are getting breath tested at the airport or when they get to site. Hence they make the decision to abandon it in the mini fridge
Happy days.
I reckon ive destroyed my fair share of the Amazon over Milla
While back in the states I caught up with a few long time friends and we went to our local watering holes. Having a few Old Fashions, I asked the Bartender the pre mix they use. Bittermilk was the choice used. Did a little research and found it to be quite well reviewed. Tracked down a distributor and brought back 3 bottles. Have to say they make up some great cocktails.
Along with that and the 5 bottles of Rye Whiskey I brought back, was a few special jars of Amarena Wild Cherries to top off the Old Fashions.
Living the dream stumpy
Today Mrs Minesweeper salvaged 4 cans of the evil VB not a big fan of it to be truthful or that dreadful fosters shit that d poms insist on drinking while watching neighbours on the telly.it might be in the fridge a while before I've run out of anything drinkable but still want more beer.
