I've managed to rustle up a few calamansi,s which are as rare as rocking horse shite here in the land of big tits n solid shits. Plus a few limes which are easy to find. Gonna rip the scab of that bad boy this avo.

Hope I don't get so pissed I accidentally book a flight to Angeles city. Faark that wouldn't go down well with Mrs Bld.

After a weekend of joyous jubilant jubilation with the boys of the Royal Air Force in their Lancaster it would be churlish not to acknowledge a worthy adversary.

Those box-heads were busting with engineering ingenuity.

This is a Focke Achgelis Fa-330

What the focke is that, you may well ask.

Well I will tell you.

It is a portable gyrocopter that was kept stowed inside the menacing u-boats. When the captain wanted to know what was over the horizon he could not send Roger the Cabin Boy up the mast to the crows nest, as u-boats do not have masts.

Instead Roger was tasked with assembling this contraption on the u-boat deck, which was then dragged behind the u-boat like a kite and used the u-boat's apparent wind-speed for the necessary vertical gyration.

Where would we be without those box-heads.

This isn't my usual kind of drink but I found it left over from last week's office party.

So it was free!

Stopped out of the monsoon and get fleeced by UK standards, £6.29 for a pint of Guinness!

Tops are really going for it these days. It was a bit fizzy though.

I will definitely have a gander for the premium malt but I have had a Suntory beer before in Nam.

I don't socialise a lot when I'm at work. Bars in Norway don't get busy until late on and I've got an early start every morning.

But last night was Friday night, so after work I took a young trainee geo to a bar I first went to 31 years ago for a couple of early beers.

It wasn't very busy at 6pm.

There's still a picture of me taken around 25 years ago, hanging on the wall. I can't believe it's still there.

I reckon this gave the trainee a new found respect for his elder.

That is impressive.after all these years.
