On the subject of cheap pints, 2 pounds 25 for this pint of Thwaites.

^^ Yeah, in Sweden it's called the Systembolaget, but a lot cheaper than Norway.
I've never spent much time in Denmark but I think Bangkok takes some beating for a passport renewal.
That's a nice looking pint.
I've already decided that while in England this summer I'm going back to the bitters and real ales. I want to sample as many as possible.
No lager, and I'll stick to cider at home.
^^ Good to see you met up with Chitty again.
Last night was this company's office summer party at a hotel in town. I declined my invitation because I am such a professional... besides, I still have a 10 hour shift to pull in the weekends.
Norwegians always have a 'forspill' before they go out... basically they get pissed up at home first because the prices in the bars are so astronomically expensive.
Last night a group had their forspill in the office before going to the party, and left this for me to find in the morning.
I decided to clear up the empties a bit while I was waiting for my coffee.
Bingo! I've never tried Norwegian Mad Fish cider before. Do I deserve one for clearing up?
Now, here's a dilemma...

Pikey! Possession is 9/10ths of the law!
^ Like I say, I'm a professional.
I'll drink it tonight in my hotel room!
I didn't have too much trouble justifying to myself taking ownership of this tin of cider. While I was clearing up I poured several three-quarter full tins down the sink. If these guys were sozzled enough to waste cider at Norwegian prices then I doubt they'll remember small details like how many tins were left.
Sometimes things just fall into place. What a day I've had.
After work I stopped for my free pint on the hotel vouchers and the barrel ran out while the receptionist was pouring it. Just at that moment a crowd turned up to check-in so the girl asked if I minded waiting. No problem, says I, but what are you planning to do with that leftover half glass?
My ploy worked and I was given 5 quid's worth of Ringnes for free!
I get back to my room and open my free tin of Mad Fish cider, and very nice it was too. It was very green and had that really strong apply flavour you only usually get with apple flavour chewy sweets. It's only 4% but I don't mind that, I don't really want beer or cider to be too strong.
They say things come in threes... maybe I should do the lottery tonight?
You've missed the point!
