Flappy Bird resurfaces on eBay for £150,000

Flappy Bird's removal from the App Store has triggered a spate of tablets and smartphones with the app installed to be listed on eBay for up to £150,000.

Across the US and UK, users looking to cash in are selling their devices complete with the installed app for huge sums of money.
UK-based eBay user ldixon88 has listed an iPad Mini 2 and iPad Mini 3 16GB, both with Flappy Bird installed. With 76 bids, the going-rate for the two tablets has now reached £152,958.

I have an iPhone5 complete with Flappy Bird game. It is as immaculate as the day I bought it as it is in a waterproof, dustproof, scratchproof, shockproof (lifeproof) case. Anyone interested I shall open the auction at $5000.*

    Any takers?

    * Please note this item is also listed elsewhere and the seller reserves the right to remove this item from auction at any time.

It checks out, not a scam. My friends are just having problems with ebay removing their auction as all phones and tablets must be restored to factory settings as per the rules.

One friend was up to £3,500

    150 000 grand for basically a game.

    Designed by a Vietnam bod.

Nice if you can get the work

I've scanned ebay and sorted by price. The first adds I'm seeing with bids are at $3,000.

I heard that eBay were making them take down the ads as selling the game was illegal. Dunno.

edit not working. I just saw Dirk had mentioned that, & I meant illegal in eBay land, not real law.

Saw it on the News, I never play computer games on My Laptop or phone so it does not affect Me at all.
Unbelievable what some people will spend their money on.

The £150 000 was the monthly earnings from advertisers on the site, that is what the owner was earning, and he had enough and called it a day.

I've never heard of the game but the BBC are reporting a clone of the app that contains malware. Apparently it tricks users into sending premium rate text messages.

Basically by tapping the screen you are supposed to get the bird at the right sustained altitude to fly through different sized obstacles. Maybe its simplicity of design is what worked for people?

Yes and it's bloody annoying because my best score is 3 and yet my 5 year old daughter has managed 7 .

    2 days in I've managed 13.

I think the attraction to the game is the difficulty factor and the determination to get a better score. Also the quick turnaround, once you die you can be in a new game in about 3 seconds.

Items could hint at being restored but not actually.

(Went to a park once and there were some pictures by the artist standing alongside his work. My father asked the artist how much a certain picture was. The artist said he was sorry but the law forbade him from selling artwork in the park. Without a heartbeat of pause my father said how much would it be if you weren't in the park. The guy said $200. My father then asked the guy if he could see the picture in a different light say outside the park. So they conducted business 400m away outside the park)

Sadly most Ebay purchasers are too stupid to understand nuance.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
