Should I post ? If so, why ?

This is what appears when I sign in to Teakdoor. Will some kind person tell if, and why, I should post here ? Some of my posts were deleted for no good reason a few weeks ago and I cannot see any point in posting when some bloody fool is going to delete them without even the courtesy of telling me why.

The forum has a large residual body of worthwhile information and just because of this it has to be acknowledged as a being of exceptional quality. It has many helpful, and well informed, posters. It also has many who can only be described as a "waste of space". These act like little kids.

Now, I wish to continue to be able to read this forum but I will not post. Some will resort to childish humour and accuse me of "flouncing". The reality is that I making a very serious point. Why should I spend time posting when what I have written is wiped out almost immediately ?

I have little faith in this post surviving more than a few hours. Please will the moderators lay down specific guidelines for posting ? There has been a change of direction in the management of this forum and I have no quarrel with that. Just let me know what I can or cannot post.

Nice and ploite of you can123 to answer the mods question , when they are too ignorant to answer any fielded on the forumn from members.

Perhaps they should have a thread with a dedicated user name - Mod , which any of the admin can use to answer questions , without outing themselves .

Yes, I fully understood that. I am not as daft as I may seem to be. The reality is that posts are deleted without explanation so why should anybody take the trouble to post ? Is there a party line to toe ? Is independent thought/opinion to be stifled ?

I took exception to posts being deleted on the Kirsty Jones thread. Mine were deleted although others, possibly libellous ones, were allowed to remain. The moderators clearly lack any knowledge regarding Internet libel. I tried to help them by attempting to put a degree of balance into the thread. Please visit this thread and you will see what I mean.

My own experience of libel is studying it as part of a law degree, and having been a witness in an Internet libel case myself. I say this not to make myself seem to be of special importance, just saying things as they are.

Americans have a totally different view of libel law and they pretend that anything can be said under the guise of "free speech". Total bollocks, of course. Americans also believe that only their own legal system is the only one in the world which is worthwhile and regard it as being universal in application. Again, total bollocks.

Anyone seeing the Kirsty Jones thread, and having a modicum of legal knowledge, will be drawn to the conclusion that I have come to. This forum is now owned by Americans, but I stand to be corrected.

In defense of the Mods, theres that many posts that get deleted, it would be a full time job to reply to all messages sent

They should reply if a genuine thread gets deleted,or you are jailed or suspended from issues.
