Except it wont be a happy day for him.

A bunch of poor people will have some goat or beef for dinner for the rest of this week, so they'll be happy.

Worked in the Middle East for 10 years - never got used to this festival. The bleating of the sheep in the few days before the Eid was not nice. I often left the country during this time.

Public holiday here too - no public killing of sheep, though
