ive just finished watching all 5 series, great stuff and first rate entertainment undoubtedly, simultaneously addictive and ridiculous, but with a ridiculously unbelievable plot peopled by characters too far removed from the reality of their situations.

i would recommend it to anybody, but it reaches the finishing line a long way behind "the wire" which will take some beating.

I recently finished watching The Wire 1-5
It is a great show however it's one that has been done to death IMO. Considering it ran from mid 2000's to 2008 I reckon it was above all else in its time. I think The Wire still had legs when it wrapped up for at least another season.

Breaking Bad on the other hand was in a league of its own, Television drama at its peak. Although I didn't want the show to end I am happy that it did so with integrity,

"Better Call Saul" on the other hand has a large set of boots to fill... And not sure that venture will pan out.

It's only 2013! At its peak for now but I'm excited for what writers will come up with next.

Gotta agree with that. I can't see it being funnier than East Bound & Down or Sunny.

Id put Sunny up there in my top 10 greatest comedies. It's hard not to ingnore the classics like, Are You Being Served?, Black Adder goes Forth and It Ain't Alf Hot Mum but my modern day Top 3 would have to be:

    - It's Always Sunny in Philidelpia.
    - East Bound & Down
    - Trailer Park Boys (pickle territory)

Hard to argue with those 3.

I was just giving you a hard time. All great shows BUT Sunny sometimes goes right over my head... I chalk that up to my being a young buck.

I've been really trying to get into "Sons Of Anarchy" in my free time but the main character is an ozzy... His American accent is rather impressive IMO... His body language and the way he carries himself just screams pikey into my ears.

I'm on season 4 Episode 1 when I have time.

Any decent Brit series I should check out? Preferably not comedy

Though I may have gotten up to some of the same shenanigans as they have, I have never lived in a trailer park.

    Indeed.

No thought required as you have the 30 second recap of the previous 4 seasons.

Bryan Cranston hints 'Breaking Bad' may not be over - CNN.com
    May 30,2014

The series star Bryan Cranston seemed to drop a major hint in an interview with CNN's Ashleigh Banfield Thursday. Asked by Banfield if his character, Walter White, died or not, Cranston said, "Hey, you never saw bags zip up or anything. Or say ... you know." He left the rest up to viewers' imaginations.

In response to questions about whether the character could show up in a movie or anywhere else ever again, Cranston said: "Never say never."

    Whoa.

He may have been teasing, but that remark revived hopes for countless fans who still are mourning the loss of the character and the acclaimed series. The show literally went out with a bang in September 2013 and there was even a mock funeral held for the character in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the series was set and filmed.

Cranston has remained busy since the series ended, most recently starring in the summer film "Godzilla." And AMC has announced that "Breaking Bad" fans can look forward to a new series, "Better Call Saul," which will be a spinoff featuring criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.

What say you diehard fans? Do you think Cranston was kidding or not?
