Clipping the nails of dogs is uneccessary if they have enough exercise, walking and running grinds them down. If it's for cosmetic purposes, have a look at the nails. If they're bright coloured, they're pinkish at the base and white or yellowish at the end. Don't cut into the pink part, there are nerves and blood vessels, that causes pain. If the nails are dark, don't take off more than 3mm. There are clippers for dog nails in the shops, but a solid one for people with a long lever is the same good.

I made the experience that people love dogs on the loose, especially when they encounter them unexpectedly. I let mine run in that space center on top of the Zugspitze in the Alps, and the visitors were overjoyed. There are cranky people of course that need to enforce their perfect order in every aspect of life, can't help it. Walking on a leash is as much exercise for dogs as playing checkers for people. Best is they find a dog buddy they can ran run and fight with to exhaustion.

Watch this reaction- if he had a cat, its attitude would be, "You were gone?"

Dog sees dad after he was gone for six months. [VIDEO]
