Sounds like an ingrown hair may have caused a cyst or abcess. Quite common in men. Go and see your doc to get it sorted. Bowel cancer is usually in your bowels, not your perineum

Depends. They might need to make a small incision to get rid of what's inside, or it may be OK to be left alone. Far better to be decided by a doc than a significant other, though
