I have no idea but they're certainly on average darker than us..
Off the top of my head i think very French person i've came across in the UK was of the dark haired variety.

Here we have more of a mixture Brown/Blonde and Redheads.

You've got to be careful they've got lots of Algerians in their country who've added their blood also so you can't class them as white.

Im working with a Frenchy from South Africa(who looks dark). There is a Romanian that works here too and he always jokes about beating the gypsy Romanian with a two by four.

People do move around and settle to live and work in other countries. Not all the Spanish live in Spain etc. They marry and have children and their children marry and have children.

So there is a big mix of lots of nationalities everywhere in Europe.

I guess Brits and Irish stick out a bit too. Kinda strange how Hitler grouped them like that....It would have made more sense to make another sub group for the Brits and Irish and tossed the French in with the Slavs

What he means is Haplogroup I - the blondie strain... French have a lot of R, and some I, much like the British Isles and Ireland, but they also have a bit of Jewy J.
Some of the I is more recent - Norman Viking; before that Franks, Burgundians, Goths (Swedish), but before the dark Ages, the Gauls would have been more dark than now.
