Exbeerlaodrinker's thread got me thinking, I drink a bit and carry a bit of weight too, so since today's the 1st of July, gonna give it a go.

No booze for a month.

Haven't has a drink since April- might have a couple beers with my father and brother when they visit in August- a month is nothing.

I never drink alcohol when we are in Blighty sometimes i go 6 months without,i allow myself a pint waiting a departures LHR and thats all.

I have a strict no booze policy apart from Fridays.

When Friday comes around i'm so excited i drink like a bastard until i pass out, which is usually only a few hours after starting on the drink.

If i left it a month i fear for premature intoxication, and all the mess that goes with it.

Onya TD fat Konts, thats what we need a bit of solidarity, ive set myself a 3 month target of sobriety and salads, actually im finding it easier than expected, but now im on site working for 2 weeks and at the end of the day all i need to do is 1) Go to the gym ( been twice now) 2) go to the salad bar (3 ) sneak back to my hut avoiding the wetmess so i dont see what im missing , the hard bit will be when i return to vientiane for my break. Quite easy onsite really as the foods cooked for us and they do try to offer healthy choices, Although its the first time ive taken them up on it.
