How have you impressed Thai people today?

I don't live in Thailand so I have not impressed any Thai people today but with all the grumbling amongst expats about the Thai citizens' fickle ways I think it is incumbent upon the expat community to make a concerted effort to show the Thai's, by example, the virtues of western morals, ethics and social sensibilities so that they may learn from us and grow as a culture.

So what good western example have you set today?

You can examples but they are generally set in their ways. If you're counting my interaction with Thais here in England then last week I impressed two local Thai massage girls by bursting into Thai whilst at the betting shop.

I don't bet but saturday was the Epsom Derby. My horse came third, but I only put £2 on at 25-1

Why are we colonising Thailand now i think the western culture has fucked Thailand, was a great country until the tourists found it.

Years ago when Islington Council were introducing their commercial waste binbags which had to now be paid for, (before you could just chuck out as many black bin bags as you wanted) I had a mate at the council. Using a bit of 'corruption' I got him to give us four boxes of them (600 bags) as they weren't being accounted for just yet. That well impressed all the Thai staff at the restaurant. They thought corruption didn't exist in the UK.

I was a hero. They didn't bloody well give me anything for it, but I was a hero.

I told my taxi driver today how impressed I was with his ability to drive properly.

Safest and most thoughtful (of others on the road) driver I have had in a very very long time.

Told my office staff to take the bowls of fruit (and impromptu fucking picnic) outside. They looked well impressed.

I impressed the fuk out of the Thais today simply because I was not in Thailand but in Bali.

They like me when I'm not there.
