Thread: Wife has four facebook accounts

Odd, really......as I see it.
She doesn't belong to any cyber crowd nor depends on it.
Old school country girl. Farmer and business person.

Quite bright and self-contained.
Secure with herself in most every way.

Yet, over the last couple of years, jumped on this Facebook craze.....but not obsessed. Only one is active and just uses it ti chat with her girly friends and browse Thai happenings, etc.

Updates her other three periodically.

Knowing that the largest percentage of Facebook members/users worldwide are Thai, creates wonder in me as to what the real draw is?

What's the idea behind having 4? Different groups of friends, or splitting up family and friends?

Surely you can do that inside the one account?

Doesn't know why. Just has them.

I have three active accounts.

Two.

One is for school and private students only, because I'm too dumb and lazy to blog. I just post informative shit, not socialize.

Four is excessive. I know a farang who has 4 or 5. Everytime he has an employment/relationship meltdown--which is often--he just opens up a new account.

Having the accounts alone isn't that worrying on the grand scale of things. But refusing to explain why and what the point of them is, is a bit strange IMO.

This all sounds similar to a thread by Peter Pan a month or so ago.

Up to you in how you handle this but I'm sure you must have doubts or you wouldn't have posted the question? I wouldn't be happy if my wife had 4 FB accounts.

^ Would depend on how much time she spent on them for me. I would like a simple answer to my simple question, when I asked her what they were all for though.

Wouldn't think twice about it, just Thais being Thais, local Doctor [ she ] first thing she asks, is do you have a Facebook account. Since the issue of tablets out here and WiFi at the schools and Government Offices, Facebook has gone viral and who knows what else. Just a new toy the novelty will wear off. Jim

GF sister has over 30 - plays those stupid farm and cafe games and uses them as neighbours to gain stuff.

I have 1 that I hardly ever update aside from chucking up news reports that my sheeple mates and relatives really should read.

My missus has one. Mostly her gang is mothers of our sons friends, plus some family.

I have one. Some of my junior colleagues insisted I get one and helped me set it up. Fucking thing is apparently all in Thai.....waste of time.

I use my wife's account and I write English, she writes Thai & English. Not a problem.

Sounds suss. I've got none. Have no need for such silly things.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. People get into that kind of crap nowadays. I know many with more than one account. It's crazy but normal if that makes any sense IMO. It probably took 3 accounts before she got the hang of it anyway.
