Not all of Egypt is unattractive. Did some dive trips out of Sharm El Sheikh when I was working in the Ras Garib/Ras al Quer areas. Rather lovely down there and the Red Sea is the bluest body of water this poster has ever witnessed.

However the place I have visited where I would have zero interest in living was Gibralatar.
It is somewhat better now that the Spaniards have opened the border but prior to that everything was airlifted in by the RAF making it an expensive as well as an overcrowded place full of broken down colonial types, ex-squaddies, escapees form North Africa and those on the run from the Spanish authorities. Inbreeding makes for a delightful mix.
The Rock also seems to hold the bad weather over the place creating a smell which lingers while it is possible to see how good the weather is in southern Spain a few hundred yards away.

When the Spanish authorities decide to be pains the queue of traffic wishing to cross into Spain can trail back for ever across the airbase making it far quicker to walk from one end of the place to the other.

No wonder folk squat and never sit for a dump there, the cockroaches would be hauling it out of ya as soon as ya opened up..
You beat me to it. Totally agree.

A place mainly populated by scammers.

Barbados and other islands are great.
I agree entirely. Jamaica is dangerous and hostile (to Caucasian men anyway).

Barbados is nice, as is St. Lucia and St. Martin. Aruba is okay.

I didn't care much for St. Thomas, Grenada, Puerto Rico, or the Dominican Republic (almost as bad as Jamaica).

Caravelle (near St. Anne, Guadeloupe) is my all time favorite beach.

Not sure I agree with that statement. Japan and Taiwan are both great places IMO and they are very nationalistic and fairly religious. Switzerland is another great place and it is fairly nationalistic and somewhat religious.

I would not describe Japan or Tawian as particularly religious. I think they have a somewhat eclectic spiritual cultural heritage but not religious in the doctrinal sense.

fo sho, and there is what's it called, Shinto? Who gives a toss over there. The Yen is God.

And they are interesting folks. In fact I like them but I doubt they liked me much, at least in public.

    Anti-Gaijin is the truer God.

Australia. Over priced, over taxed, over regulated and over rated.

Never been there, but a friend of mine was married to a Hungarian for a while. He said it was a nice place if you liked to watch overweight, 50-something female relatives strip down to put on their bathing suits. (Said it made him briefly consider "switching teams").
