    vientiane was a sleepy backwater 15 years ago but a great place i remember the lan xiang hotel great place with the snackbar night club ..had a great room but the viet generals came and they moved me ...no refund

    I was just there and enjoyed being away from the BKK traffic and pollution. Nice to see blue skies and sunshine.

    It was my first time in Lao though, so can't compare it to what it was like before.
