Married once only, about 18 months ago. One of the loveliest people (inside and out) I've met in Thailand or any country. Took me till my early 50s to meet her. I wrote off Thailand as a destination for many years, due to meeting the wrong type there previously.

First time was a cloggy, lasted 5 years and we'd been together about 5 years before that. Marriage went south after we moved to Thailand.

Agreed for UK but wrong for Thailand - Mine was drawn up to protect my aussie assets.

They are registered in Australia under the family law act. Prenups are enforceable in Thailand if registered at the time of marriage under Thai civil and commercial code and both parties follow the required procedure.

My theory is that the western women will rob you far more than any asian would - I might be wrong

Asians rob less, generally, because the foreigner in LOS has less assets in Thailand.

In the US the legals system, court rulings, and judging and take your assets and garnish your wages.

Child support is a real killer. Thankfully, I never had to deal with that issue.

Here is to the divorce lawyers and divorce courts.
