An Interesting Reply From True Internet.

Three days ago I wrote to True about my internet speed once again going down to 1/3 of what it should be. Down from 10mb's down to 4 and .512up to .24. Interesting the reply I got from Khun Hathaichanok at customer service.

Here we have the tww. not www. according to them. This is the first time I have got them to say it in writing. Should be fun from here.

I've checked your signal and found it is in standard rate. The picture you've sent was the test of international site.
I suggest you to test again at link : http://speedtest.adslthailand.com/ , choose Thailand.

Note. We would like to inform you that international sites can't be guaranteed due to many reasons for example : long distance, many hops to access to destination.
The commit speed of international site is 700 Kbps.

    Yours Sincerely,
    Support Internet by Hathaichanok

If you sign up with me I will guarantee you a trillion terra bytes a femto second.
Unfortunately you are subject to the slowest speed on any particular routing.
Might be 1 bit a year.

In my dealings with True, they always come out and fix it within 24 hours, usually sooner

^ They do come and try and fix it. But this has been the underlying problem for years now. I am just so happy to have somebody write it down on paper. Now the fun begins. But then they sign up more customers in my service area, and the speed decreases. Quite simple. I got this just a few minutes ago

In reply to your email below. Please be informed that, this case has been transferred to relevant Department and under investigation. We will let you know if there is any further update.

    Yours Sincerely,

Different person. This was in response to my thanking them for finally putting in writing what has been true (sic) all along.

usually the problem is outside, not their direct fault (storm damage, electricity repairs etc)

as for speed, I think in this city CM there is no problem

They say they will come check that. It was installed 15 years ago and we flooded in Oct-Dec as did many. They have never checked it once since the installation date. I feel its time to stand up. What the hell.

Yes HB mine is 699 but I am getting less than 1/3 of what I am paying for. Why should I pay the bill in full if the service is not delivered in full. I now have the dean of the faculty of law at my university on board, and next week off. Time for some fun. Guess who is going to Fortune Tower with the dean?

To show that internet is slowing down during time.. you have to have some statistics. Measuring speed on some strange site - doesn't look legit enough for anyone to start even looking at your problem.

The picket signs work well. I just walked in their office with one and they started flopping around like fish out of water. In minutes, the entire executive team had us in a conference room with beverages and snacks. I told them if I did not get results, I would have a large group of farangs and Thais, a good friend from the Bangkok Post and a TV reporter with a camera crew in front of fortune tower. Within an hour, I had 5 technicians at my house also flopping around like fish on the shore. They upgraded me to the highest business package, opened the pipe as far as they could - which I think is a bunch of BS - and told me I did not have to pay my bill until I decided to. I did scream at one of the technicians and bounced him out of my house. That caused a whole lot of movement!

He's trying to prove the obvious. True are a shit company run by and employing a bunch of fucking idiots. Always good to get these retards to lose a bit more of their ever decreasing 'face'.

Truly shite, but Ipstar is worse. Yet I have to be grateful for it, and pay 1800 bht monthly for the privilege, because that is all there is in my particular neck of the boonies. It's not that they want your business, either- a farang putting up a house close by tried to open an account with them, they said not interested. With Ipstar, the problem I reckon is bandwidth- it's maxed out. So at busier times of day I get speeds that make the old fashioned dial up connections look good, but in the ungodly hours (such as now) the speed is OK.

The Ipstar geezers basically want to get rid of us, the weirdos that live in inconvenient places but still want half decent internet. Anyway, been quoted (by Ipstar) 30K bht to run fibre optic here, shared between meself and t'other farang. tempted

It was installed 15 years ago
Sometimes the router needs to be upgraded. Over-subscribing is the most common problem.

I agree with Fresh Prince. They have never answered me. Count your blessings that at least you received a reply A.O.
