And another company shuts off Jones rants and raves.

    Vimeo removes Infowars content

Vimeo has pulled Infowars content from its site for violating the platform’s standards.

A spokesperson for the video hosting service told Business Insider on Sunday that the Infowars videos "violated our Terms of Service prohibitions on discriminatory and hateful content.”

The videos had been uploaded to the site on Thursday and Friday. The Vimeo spokesperson also told Business Insider that the company had told the account owner of the videos’ removal, and also issued a refund because "we do not want to profit from content of this nature in any way."

Infowars Website Traffic Explodes After Silicon Valley Blacklists Alex Jones Empire

Silicon Valley's coordinated purge of all things Infowars from social media has had an unexpected result; website traffic to Infowars.com has soared in the past week, according to Amazon's website ranking service Alexa.

Infowars was recently banned by YouTube, Facebook, iTunes, Google Podcast, Spotify, iHeartRadio, MailChimp, Disqus, LinkedIn, Flickr, Pinterest and several others - leading many to wonder exactly how and why this was seemingly coordinated mass takedown took place between platforms.

What's more, Jones says that 5.6 million people subscribed to the Infowars newsletter within 48 hours of his YouTube ban, according to the Daily Mail.

What's more he claims the publicity surrounding the action taken by the likes of YouTube, Facebook and Apple - who have blocked his content and removed his channels - has gained him millions of subscribers - not lost him followers.

Jones claims 5.6million people have subscribed to the Infowars newsletter and free podcast in the past 48 hours.

Branding what's happened 'bull***t', the 44-year-old Texan said: 'Why not say I'm flying a Nazi flying carpet. I sit up in the morning and I s**t Hitler out of my a**. It's bull***t. -Daily Mail

"Because I play devil's advocate, because I play both sides, they've taken me out of context, they are using me as a test case to try to bring an EU style web censorship," Jones said. "They've got mainline Democratic senators saying they ought to restrict Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Matt Drudge, the President himself. They are misrepresenting what I've said and done and are using that to set a precedent for internet wide de-platforming, censorship beyond what Russia does, what China does, ahead of the midterms (election). The whole thing is fake."
Looking at Infowars' stats, a little over 10% of their pre-ban traffic in July came from social media, with Facebook about half of that. Which likely means that Jones will survive as most of his traffic is direct, as users access the site via typing it into the URL bar or click on a bookmark, instead of coming through search engines.

Meanwhile, a flood of new traffic has been driven to Infowars.com, which is probably paying a much higher CPM. It's entirely possible that if the newfound site visitors stick around, Jones would end up more profitable than before he was blacklisted.

What was the plan then OhoH?

To take his shit off platforms where it's shared with reasonable content I'd fancy.

If dickheads want to go searching out his website, good fucking luck, they can add it to Stormfront in their bookmarks.

I've no idea what the guys plan is I don't follow him.

My observation is that the plan of the companies that hosted him was to silence him, along with many other voices of "discontent" and it failed, allegedly, shown by his followers joining his site in numbers. But as we both know "facts" are sometimes not what we see.

Twitter Restricts Infowars For Seven Days

The move comes less than a day after the company took the same action against Infowars proprietor Alex Jones.

Twitter restricted the Infowars account on Wednesday after finding a video the conspiracy site shared had violated its terms of service. Infowars' account will be prevented from tweeting for seven days under the enforcement action.

The move, which essentially puts the account in read-only mode, comes less than a day after Twitter temporarily limited Infowars proprietor Alex Jones for a week after he tweeted a link to a video in which he called on his supporters to get their “battle rifles” ready. That video, which was shared on Twitter-owned live streaming service Periscope, was also shared by Infowars earlier on Wednesday.

A Twitter spokesperson confirmed that Infowars' account, which has more than 430,000 followers, will be prevented from tweeting, retweeting, liking or following other users during a seven-day window. The account will stay online, allowing users to view it during that period.

Cooperate Or Die: In Private Meeting, Top Facebook Exec Threatened News Outlets

    Alex Jones - Infowars-facebook-gun-jpg

"During a closed-door and off-the-record meeting last week, top Facebook executive Campbell Brown reportedly warned news publishers that refusal to cooperate with the tech behemoth's efforts to "revitalize journalism" will leave media outlets dying "like in a hospice.

Reported first by The Australian under a headline which read "Work With Facebook or Die: Zuckerberg," the social media giant has insisted the comments were taken out of context, even as five individuals who attended the four-hour meeting corroborated what Brown had stated.

"Mark doesn't care about publishers but is giving me a lot of leeway and concessions to make these changes," Brown reportedly said, referring to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. "We will help you revitalize journalism... in a few years the reverse looks like I'll be holding hands with your dying business like in a hospice."

As The Guardian reported on Monday, Facebook is "vehemently" denying the veracity of the comments as reported by The Australian, referring to its own transcript of the meeting. However, Facebook is refusing to release its transcript and tape of the gathering.

Brown's warning about the dire prospects for news outlets that don't get on board with a future in which corporate giants like Facebook are the arbiters of what is and isn't trustworthy news comes as progressives are raising alarm that Facebook's entrance into the world of journalism poses a major threat to non-corporate and left-wing news outlets."

^ “Tyler Durden” at Zero Hedge.

In the meanwhile, another poster alerted me of this...

FCC Shuts Down Liberty Radio, Alex Jones' Pirate Flagship Radio Station

AUSTIN, Texas — The Federal Communications Commission has shut down a pirate radio station that served as the flagship outlet for conservative conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

The Austin American-Statesman reports the FCC also has fined the station’s operators $15,000 — a fine the FCC says in a lawsuit the operators are refusing to pay.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in Austin alleges Liberty Radio operated on a channel without a license since at least 2013. The lawsuit names as defendants Walter Olenick and M. Rae Nadler-Olenick.

Court documents show the FCC had tracked the transmissions to a 50-foot tower at an Austin apartment complex owned by an entity linked to the Olenicks.

    You do realize don't ya?

The attempts to silence Alex Jones have only served to make him more popular!

The flow of people into alternative media has turned into a stampede.

With MSM broadcasting negative Trump 95% narrative of the time.

Seems the alternatives are increasingly viable.

In spite of the negative MSM Trump controls the narrative.

Even the casual observer can see that MSM 'facts' and actual results being achieved by Trump are divergent.

    That's a fact Jack!

So Trump controls the narrative... including that saying that MSM is the ‘enemy of the people’ and picks of poor widdle Trumpy ‘95% of the time’ — how unfair to hold him accountable for his lies — and of course the place to get the real scoop from is a self-interested and obsessed pathological liar.

    Yeah OK.

Anty you're letting your emotions get the better of you.

    Consider the objective facts, precious!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 49% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.

A poll isn’t an objective fact just because you like the results Earl. Least of all a Rasmussen poll. Do you know the difference between fact and opinion and alternative facts?

Freedom of Speech means the government can’t throw you in jail for your opinion. A private business can choose to exclude your opinion if they decide it is in their best interest.

You can’t yell “fire” in a theatre and claim freedom of speech to keep from being thrown out.

Jones was telling his lunatic followers to take up arms. He already has put many people in danger and destroyed lives and businesses with his hateful rants. About time he is stopped.
