"Don't Sweat the Small Stuff....and it is all small stuff"
Know what the difference between a good haircut and an bad haircut is?
About 2 weeks!
I've been going to the same barber out in the Wong Sa Won (sp?) area of BKK for over the past 15 years. The woman, now about 39ish, was just a kid when she started cutting my hair. No too bad looking either. The wife took me there as it isn't far from her home there and her nephew would also get his hair cut there.
I can't remember what the cost was back then but nowadays it is about 70 baht for hair cut which is an excellent cut, a trim of the hair in my ears and nostrils, a straight razor shave and always with a fresh blade that she takes out of the sealed wrapper, a back/neck/ and head massage, and once in a while I think she intentionally rubs her boobs against my arm. Could be my imagination and anyways it wouldn't matter.
I leave her a 30 baht tip which she is more than content with. There are several other barbers there but she knows she is the only one that I will let cut my hair. She always gets me into the chair immediately if it is empty or otherwise next in the seat if someone is already there regardless of the number of people waiting.
What I find cute is the wai I get before she starts with the touching and combing and cutting of my hair.
Thing is, it's been 11 months since I got a hair cut now. Just wearing my hair a little differently. You see, even at my ripe age, I for whatever reason still have a full head of hair although thinning a little. And it is still 60 / 40 pepper and slat looking. No coloring for this guy.
back on topic . hair cut .
number 2 because it saves me going too often.
50bt with shave. bargin .
once made the mistake of walking in to an old barber that was blind in one eye and the other was cloudy,
had a cut n shave .. he felt his way round my head.. with a cut throat in hand.
I went home and shaved all the bits he had missed
will not put up wiv the "Nanny state" so don't push it on me.
I might ask her to do me nuts, shave I mean
Generally #3 on the back and sides, and scissor cut on top- 150 baht.
I have been going to same barber for 30 years, good cut and he always has something intelligent to say.
My sons called in on him when required to keep their hair neat and so i always paid for 3 cuts to cover their visits. When reading this i have just realised i have been paying the same plus the inflationary increases over the years, however all my sons left home years ago, one living in Australia.....and i am still paying for the hair to be cut !!!
there is one of these in the arcade at the asoke subway.Originally Posted by The Fresh Prince

Back in 66 and 67 I used to go to the small village outside our military compound in Vietnam for a haircut, shave and ear cleaning about once every month. thinking about it now I must have been crazy. I let this old Vietnamese guy shave me with a straight razor and never thought about weather his relatives were being killed by Americans or if he held any hostile feelings towards us. I paid him in MPC which he turned into the "Black Market for more Piasters. I let this guy work on me for over a year. Wonder if he's still there?
After the haircut I would wander down to the local bar, drink some 33's and go into the back room with this Eurasian pro for a world class BJ and shag. All for $5, a box of tide or some Salem cigs. Amazing the price of pussy and difference in quality these days.

I get mine for 60 baht in Pattaya.
I've seen buzz cutters for about 800 baht around here. Do you think I'd save money? Hmmm...
