The unnamed woman was part of a gang including two others and British housewife Lindsay Sandiford.

The 55-year-old former lawyer was carrying almost five kilograms (11lbs) of the Class A drug when she arrived at the Indonesian island’s airport from Bangkok.

Coming from a totally dysfunctional background, where her sons were involved in a series of robberies, loan sharks in blacked out cars would turn up at her house for repayment of a loan, she seems to have difficulty in re-paying.
As a reputedly former lawyer, I think she might be able to plead insanity in the matter.
Her past history in the UK and recent actions would support that, for a start, not that she has any chance of getting off.
She's in line for the death penalty, and I think this case is going to get more press than even Corby's case.

She's been singing like a canary and co-operated with the authorities in their execution of the controlled delivery nailing the principals at the receiving end. Doubtless the chaps at the UK end are sweating on things a tad.

She'll get a reduced sentence and the matter will be forgotten pretty soon.

Mind you, I had to laugh when the gang in Bali were described as antique restorers. He's just a glorified knocker boy from Brighton and his bitch is a fraudster's spawn following in her father's footsteps.

A British housewife faces the firing squad in Bali after she allegedly tried to smuggle $2.6 million worth of cocaine into Indonesia.

Cops said Lindsay Sandiford, 55, hid a whopping 10.4 pounds of the drug in a suitcase, and was caught at an airport on her way to sell it to three Britons and an Indian national, BBC reported.

Indonesian authorities are tougher on drug smugglers than most countries in the world. Many drug pushers have faced the death penalty for such crimes, and a lot of them are foreigners, according to BBC.

A British husband and wife, a second British man, and an Indian national were also arrested, but have not been named.
Detectives in Bali declared that Sandiford was part of a “big international narcotics syndicate”.
They swooped when she arrived on a flight from Bangkok last week.

According to police, she then agreed to take part in a sting operation – a “controlled delivery” at a secret location on the island.
That is when officers arrested the British couple, the other Brit and the Indian national.
All five suspects were put on view in orange outfits, but all apart from Sandiford were allowed to wear balaclavas to conceal their identities.

Sandiford, who once worked for a firm of solicitors, wept as she tried to cover her face with her hands.

But customs official Made Wijaya told reporters in Denpasar her “seemingly unassuming appearance” was just an act.
He said: “We believe she has been part of an international narcotics syndicate for a long time. This is a big international network.”
