I know his family. I got the man a job in Thailand with an expat company and a nice salary. He moved over here with his farang wife, 2 daughters and a son. He fell for a Thai girl at the company. It ended up costing him his job.

He went home broke and they moved in with his wife's parents after she forgave his indiscretions. One night he disappeared and it turned out he had stole the inlaw's housekeeper's vehicle and dumped it near the airport.

In time they realized he had stolen and pawned jewelry, withdrew a sizable amount of cash from his MIL's ATM and also emptied his kid's college savings account. He is back here living in Ladprao with his Thai squeeze and also teaching.

He abandoned his family and is is a thief. I am not a snitch, but just wanted to get some opinions.

So it's not like he's a career crim who poses a danger to life and limb and property of people , just went a bit troppo in LOS over a LBFM.

The truck would have been recovered at the airport, the money and jewellery...well, y'know, what the fuck does it have to do with me if the law enforcement in his own country were too incompetent to catch him before he left the country?

What would it achieve anyway? If he already has a warrant they'll already know he left for Thailand and are powerless to do anything until he returns.

Seems like his wife or his kids have a good enough reason to tell the authorities whatever they know about this guy, but not the OP. If I was the OP I might dob him in to his wife, but I wouldn't get involved beyond that.

because deep down we all would like to think that if we were in trouble, there might be somebody out there who not only could help, but knew the difference between right and wrong and was willing to help, rather than turn away and say its none of my business i dont care etc.

of course the world is not like that these days unless you happen live in a small tightly knit community where the actions of one directly affect everybody else.

maybe i am just too naive and still hope that right will triumph over evil, when we all know that in most cases the opposite is true.
