Help! My hair is falling out -_-"

My hair has been falling out for months now. Some people told me to change shampoo and I did but it still hapens then I went to see a doctor, he gave me a few kinds of medicine and shampoo. Well, it's better but still falling out then I went to see another doctor yesterday and he gave me a few kinds of medicine, shampoo and cream for my scalp. I just hope this doctor will give me the right thing.

I'm still worried, anyone have any idea what to do about this? (Just in case)

    Cheers,

    GoW

You're probably allergic to your boyfriend. You should change him .

Hair loss can be related to other diseases...

Wish you that it stops and your well quick dear....

Well, it happened to a friend of mine in her early 30s, changing to a milder shampoo and washing the hair much less often than before cured it for her, to cut the story short.

For some people, the constant washing and depleting with chemicals disturbs the natural balance enough to cause the hair to fall out.

Hair loss is heavily related to stress. Lots of chemicals can't do any good either.

you should definitely go to a doctor....sudden hair loss is often an indicator of an illness of some kind.

in the short term maybe you could cut your hair a bit shorter to reduce the weight of it while you find out the cause (which is probably an allergy to your boyfriend.)

GOW, you sound like my wife. She has been complaining of this for that last 7 years. We now get evey type of "shampoo that was ever invented to prevent hair loss" at our place.Still, she is not bald yet!

I must admitt, that she drops a shed load of hair in the shower etc (I clean the ferkin drain!!),but all is still ok.

I don't think anything wrong that a bf helps a gf to do some house work.

    Anyway, don't ruin my thread.

Just to fill out a bit of background, she was given some tablets by a quack over a year ago, to control her monthly penance which was disrupted due to stress, and the hair loss has been fairly constant ever since. Apparently her scalp is a bit red, but I think this is only since she went to a 'doctor' a couple of weeks ago and is due to the special shampoo that her gave her. He basically prescribed the treatment without listening to anything about her medical background.

I keep on telling her to see a real doctor, but...

So did mine. GOW, have your thyroid, pituitary glands checked out. It could be any number of hormones that affect hair loss. If it's any comfort, you can't lose the hair from all 100,000+ follicles on any given day.

My biological mother wore a head scarf for much of her life - in fact I can't remember her without it.

The past year and a half I have discovered to my horror why, so GOW you have my sincerest sympathy. My dad at 73 still has a thick head of hair, albeit silver but so what? I always thought I would be okay but hair loss apparently stems from your mothers side of the family.

I hope there is a cure for us who are thinning, I don't realy like caps.

Nope, there's nothing. Keep it short and then shave it. You'll look real hard.

    Bald, but real hard.
