Are you more or less Patriotic

Do you consider yourself patriotic towards your country, or find over the years your feelings towards your home country have changed.

personally everytime i come back to my mother country i find nothing other than a loathing to leave the country Asap.

we watch people hurt her, live in her and hate her, and want every last one of us to die, and we still cant do anything about it, so we have to look to the americans to help us out, and i used to be proud as fuk of her.

Patriotism requires heroic gestures like wearing a flag pin in your lapel.

Am not really patriotic. Never have been. I think all of this flag waving crap is stupid. Doesn't mean I'm anti-American, I just think blind loyalty to any state is idiotic. I am still pleased if America wins a hard fought Olympic Gold Medal, or makes a significant breakthrough in science or medicine, but would probably be pretty much just as pleased if another country, like the Brits, did so. (Obviously, excluding the French.)

Quite proud of my country and culture. Less so of the people that have governed it for the last 30+ years.

If patriotism means that one will get quite pissed off when they see their fellow countrymen acting like dicks when abroad then I am patriotic.

Lately patriotism has been made a dirty word by some mainly naive misguided multiculturalist far left liberals who stupidly are running the errand's for some of the enemies of freedom, free speech and equality for all.

    But I'm a Patriot........ -

I am proud of what we have achieved In my little Country in terms of caring for all members of society, providing means for all to get a good chance for creating a decent life while being content safe and happy, I am proud when Danes are doing right by others, doing good in life, business, science and of-cause sport

I did not leave my Country because I hate or loathe what's back there, on the contrary I left because I know it is all good, I know what's there, and now I want to experience the rest of the exiting and interesting world in the autumn of my life while I still can enjoy it to the full.

    Here you go -

Sorry about that ^ you will have to you tube it, it's the traditional anthem with pretty photos from DK.

But to compensate here is a pretty Danish blond doing a slightly modernised version, another pretty picture

Proud of it's past, surprised at some of its recent achievement (generally in tech), but am happy to admit that it's a fucking toilet nowadays.

Still support them in sports, despite being embarrassed at the kunts who play footie for them.

Not at all! Hated bloody Wigan. Grew up in a real life Coronation st. It sucks everything about it. Well apart from the Meat and potato Pies, and the beer, and the rugby and the Lakes and the well still glad I left as they are.

If not hating your country of birth and not considering it a shit-hole equates to 'patriotism' then I guess I'm patriotic- I really enjoy the time I spend in the US and look forward to my yearly visits- I'm not blind to its faults, but I see the good in it as well.

I'm not a big fan of the government, but the government does not equal the US in my eyes- for many posters here it's a different story.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
