^^ Don't read too much into it, I'm simply commenting on an observation I made on T.D. And just wondering
A: Is it just me or have others noticed it too.
And
B: If it's not just my imagination and others have noticed it as well, what do we think the reason for this could be.
It does seem rather odd for the side that so often claims the moral high ground.
I'm not making any judgements.
I hate politics. I dont give a fuck about left or right. Anyone who does is a nob.
The only left or right I know about, and care about, is when a bunch of slanty eyed Roger Moores are lined up in front of you and the ones on the left take it up the shitter and the ones on the right dont. Thats the only time left or right is important, and intresting.

it's like witnessing a pedophile abusing a kid in the act, another of your favorite topic incidentally, and trying to lecture him on the moral merit of not sexually abusing minors, and all you get is a blank stare or a polite denial from said abuser
the truth is there shouldnt be a polite discussion with them about it, but simply smashing their head against the floor possibly with the help of a hammer as not to hurt your hand or splash your shirt with blood
in short, you are dealing with scums, and like the talibans, they need to be exterminated, at least intellectually

Hurling abuse is what people do when they have no capacity to face the issue and deal with it....answer direct questions, provide alternative ideas, solutions etc.
The standard response therefor is to attack with venom....try to intimidate the other party (conservative) and shut them up. Conservatives tend to ask difficult and inconvenient questions....and often try to deal with facts and circumstances which are hard for the liberal mind to accept or even identify.
Being accused of religious nuttery, gun culture fantasy, racism and resistance to change etc...are always to be expected when dealing with libs......This is the only ammunition they have, so in the absense of any sound alternative ideas or reasoned argument, they let loose with the standard abuse, name calling and various other well established antics.
Most successful people in commerce and industry tend to be conservative....or at least not left wing. Most wealthy people tend to be conservative....although there are a few notable exceptions. Wealth and success tend to cause envy, and even hatred in extreme cases.
Many successful people in the academic world tend to be lefists...from primary school teachers to senior profs.....but full time academics live in a world that is somewhat removed from other kinds of successful people.
Academics will love the Jungle Book and The Lion King.....but they will mostly hate the law of the Jungle as it really is.... and there, is much of liberalism in a nutshell.
This has given liberals at large a sense of intellentual superiority... and they will cling to the ravings of some left wing academic to support their views, even though the guy probably could not tie his own shoe laces in the outside world...and at the same time disregard the view of some highly successful and accomplished person from the world of business.....because HE or SHE does not represent their vision of how they think the world should be.
Conservatives have been to the jungle and accept it they way they find it. They know that all those wild animals don't really talk to each other and they are not friendly characters full of good intent and humour. They will attack you if you confront them...and you can't change their minds with logic or common sense....just like our liberal posters.....:rofl:
The problem with any discussion of Right vs Left is that we tend to talk about the fairly extreme versions of each wing as if they were typical. The vast majority of people would not fit into the mould of these extreme elements that often are touted as typical. Most people would seem to have views which could fit into eiher side, depending on the issue. ...whereas the extreme elements are entrenched in their idealology and seem incapable of compromise on anything.
