No no no no no no no no ad nauseum
^ Why not?
Keeps your beer cold and doesn't water it down like adding ice would?
^ It's just plain wrong.
Enough to make you weep. A bit like people who put cola in single malt, or add soda to good red wine. Bring back hanging.
Great for poofs and Aussies.
"Call the roller of big cigars,
The muscular one, and bid him whip
In kitchen cups, concupiscent curds.
Let the wenches dawdle in such dress
As they are used to wear, and let the boys
Bring flowers in last month's newspapers.
Let be be finale of seem.
The only emperor is the emperor of ice cream."
Sorry...those concupiscent curds of beer "hoar" reminded me of Wallace Stevens...
Cheers...
My chiller compartment sometimes produces a nice cold beer with ice in mmmm.
I like to put a beer in the freeze and pull it right at the point when the ice crystals are forming. ICY cold goodness...
But then it goes flat as it defrosts ^ ^
^ Who gives it time to defrost? You some sort of poof? We real men just neck it straight down.
Oh right, bust the bottle to get it out.
What is that head made of, and does it taste like beer ?
Looks like the filling Aussies use to make their sheep kievs.
^ only to crap wine though!
ice cold beer is necessary if the beer tastes like shit, otherwise not
but needing to put a "head" on beer like that is very weird
Westons Cider in the UK have a flash cooler that adds the last 1/5th of your pint as frozen cider, its very refreshing.
That looks cool.Originally Posted by Gerbil

Christ there's some wankers on this site.
Who gives a fuck if someone else likes to drink their beer frozen, boiling hot or mixed with mash potatoes & quick dry cement.

Japanese Company Tops Drinks With Soft Serve Frozen Beer Foam
If you ever wanted a way to dessert up your beer, or just plain keeping it colder for longer, Japanese beer maker Kirin has got the item for you. Presenting: Frozen beer foam in the vein of soft serve ice cream that sits atop a beer, keeping it cool.
In order to make the topping, Kirin freezes their Ichiban Shibori Frozen Draft beer to 23 degrees Fahrenheit while air is blown into it. Simple as that. When the frozen foam topping is placed on the beer, it acts as something of a lid, keeping the beer cold for thirty minutes. Due to the nature of the topping, when the foam eventually does melt into the beer, it doesn’t dilute the taste, but provides a somewhat creamier flavor to the overall beverage.
If you want to get your hands on the beer and soft serve topping, Kirin is planning on launching it worldwide in May.
the way I enjoy mine as well. the colder the better but not frozen, even a little. the taste seems affected when even slightly frozen. I'm thinking that the water in the beer freezes first followed by the alcohol if given enough time but the taste is definitely affected for the worst. No head on my beer please. Head while drinking a beer is a different story.

having one now. To perfection it was done. Aged just about an hour and 12 minutes. This time was dictated by my thirst. I give a full thumbs up to the OP. Hell my screen says 37 at sunset.
Off to get the last glass now. Big bottle = drink fast as it wont stand up in my freezer so its down in the cooler part. I like beer.
