    Bring out yer dead

No doubt this thread will set a TD record for popularity.

Any of us who ever had an ant farm as a child already know how amazing these lil fookers are.

Yesterday I poured gasoline on an ant hill, let it soak in for a minute or two then torched it. This morning I see the survives have brought out their dead and fashioned a little casket for each and every causality. Services pending. RIP little fookers.

Survivors? You didn't let it soak long enough before you ignited it.

I live on a quiet street. That makes me vulnerable to drive-bys.

The ants life is as valuable to it as your is to you.
And yes, I swat flies and mossies, (especially mossies.) and eat dead things.

on the I,o,M for the TT when the racing was canceled due to the fog,

bought myself a double burger with everything, was lifting this beauty up to my drooling mouth

when this seaduck the size of an albatross came over my shoulder and had my feast away in its alligator like beak,

as a final insult gave me slap in the face with its wing as it went off,

i would not kill as much as an ant, i would love to have seen that f*cker explode.
life is what happens to us while we are making other plans

You can do it a bit more enviro-friendly by boiling a huge vat of super hot water and pouring it on the pile. The water seeps down into the pile fairly quickly. Cruel but things happen. Better than gasoline or pesticide for the big outdoor piles. They will come back eventually but you can always do it again without damaging the environment too much.

There's a product I use on the property to control red ants. Especially those too far underground - like eating the roots of new trees - called Sevin 85. Classified as a Cat 3 product not harmful to the environment.

    Check out Hazards ID here
