Just found this when I tried to access the PG? What next? is nothing sacred? Wonder why anyone would bother targeting the PG. Usually quite tame, must have upset someone.

Dear Reader,

We regret to have to inform you that aftershocks from last week's attack on our website resulted in intermittent slowdowns and disruptions of service over the weekend. While the site continues stable and the attacker has no access to it, we decided late yesterday to shut it down ourselves to enable system updates. We expect the site to be on and off over the next two to three days, during which please bear with us so that we can be back to you with a Gazette Online that is far faster than the one you've known and helped to make so successful over the past 15 years.

Yes, Those of us who had accounts there received emails saying they'd been hacked and to change our passwords for other sites that might have the same.
Not cool at all.
More and more hackers in the world.
makes for more and more passwords.
life is not simple in the cyber world.

The Inter-Web was never designed for what it has become. I am in a little school in a fairly remote spot. No cell coverage. But the school has just had its heating system changed so that individual offices and classrooms can have their temperature set individually. Wonderful! nope we have to call a central office to turn it up or down! Likewise our phones now do all sorts of fancy stuff. Hooked up to the net, but they are a mess at the moment.

We are just making life more complex, because we can.

just use "fukoffyoucunt" as your password and they will leave you alone

Their site is still down it must have been hit real hard.

When this whole Interweb got kicked off. I always forgot my password.

Worked like a charm. Unfortunately the joke got around the school real quick. Found my daughter one night using my account. Asked her how she got it she told me everyone knew it at school. 7oo kids!!
