What has living in Thailand done for your dress sense ?

Well, the first few years were o.k. I resisted sandals shorts and tea shirts and was one of the better dressed regulars in Thermaes.

But over the years the pressure got too much.

The socks were the first to go...smelt too much and too many holes.

Next it was the shoes. Have to take them off so often got to be a chore.

Then it was button up long sleeve shirts. Too fiddly.

Lastly, and only recently , I have taken to wearing shorts thus exposing my bandy legs

But if I ever start wearing black socks and sandals and you see me in public please shoot me or push me under a bus. Thanks in advance.

My choice of dress has altered dramatically.

    I now prefer pastel shades.

It's made me an expert on flip-flops and cargo shorts (snaps instead of Velcro or buttons, deep front pockets, large side pockets to hold stuff, etc)- I wear long pants and shoes if I'm out for the evening, but it's shorts and flip-flops in the daytime.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Don't wear flip-flops in BKK because I don't think this is the best place to go about with one's toes exposed. Might rip off a toe-nail on the concrete, might have to kick a dog. . .I like my Keens.

I've grown rather fond of putting mentholated talcum powder on my bollocks and sitting in front of a fan, legs akimbo.

Because it blends in with the puke and dribble stains?

What the well dressed man in Pattaya will be wearing ( again ) this season

As little as possible if with 1 kilometre of the beach.

Now this looks better. I would very much like to wear one of these.

    Work - Shorts/Polo shirt/Steel cap boots.

    Nope no difference for me.

For what its worth, when I say thongs I mean real thongs, not the shit available locally, Surfer Joes is where it's at.

My dress sense went down fast. After about 2 years I found myself dressed in flip flops and a tracksuit even when DJing at clubs.

Then a mate 'discreetly' pointed out that some staff laughed at me.

Now that I'm older and don't try and appear trandy, I can get away with whatever in the places I frequent.

I guess the old gut is asking her where he can buy a thong.
