Kids clothes. Always a winner especially with everyone worrying about money at home. I know I'd go without before my son did.
Why export it ? Just flog it on Ebay. No import duty, and the punter pays the postage.

^^hmm, would probably end up getting busted for that i reackon, somewhere along the line, kids clothes eh.....
aye - they love a sprog at home.
big c type stuff?
For clothing the best place is the border market at Aranyaprathet...lots of bargains to be sort.
I think Al is on to a winner,
Ben 10 and Dora the Explorer, Hello Kitty, Iron Man, blah blah blah can all be had cheap in their fake format here.
You would get a load of that in a suitcase too.
Probably think you're a Pedo if you get stopped at Heathrow though.
Nah, just say they're for your kids

Postage has a cost yep ! You could skype them off by keeping the goods in land with help of skype or such but the risks are known !
The good biz deals are going on already in big quantities but there is always something new, a friend made quite good bucks with the bands that you bend and it lights up, sold it for 5 US a pce in open air concerts by the 1000's in one show...
Ideas are easy, to realize the final selling concept and doing the sales is the hardest !
Get a good partner abroad first or get stuck with your goods !
As Sabaii Sabaii said but also, bibs baby grows.
Pissed up Dads in pubs will lap it up. Keep the old lady off their back, but also there's a genuine market for it. Pretty much anyone will buy it if it's even half decent. brothers, sisters, aunties uncles. bish bash bosh - that's living alright.
Knock-off jeans.
You can't sell them as new in the UK, but you can sell them as 'second-hand'. You can buy them for as little as 6 quid a pair here. A friend was going to do some markets with them, but didn't in the end.
There's a supplier in Pratunam (or was) and that shop in MBK (which will be more expensive).
Anyone need anything from the States that is to expensive in Thailand?
What about silver? I thought of this myself, though not sure of legalities etc. Just that here in Chiang Mai you get great deals on silver. My mother came to visit and took back a heap of silver jewellery and other stuff that my sister sold at a market in Australia and made a tidy profit. Like 4x the buying price.
The MIL just bought a stack of shorts for our daughter that were like 5 bt each. You could fit a shitload of baby clothes in a suitcase, and they're bloody expensive back home. Never thought of that...Originally Posted by sunsetter
Much cheaper in India, and can be bought cheaper in the US than Thailand (wholesale) because they buy massive quantities from India.Originally Posted by 9999
My parents have some jewelery interests, and years ago I sent them stuff from Thailand, but worked out cheaper to buy direct from India or US.
A lot of the silver here in Thailand comes from India, as their workers are more skilled.
^ They trader I know, who I get a good deal from on anything from jewellery to solid bars, sources his from hill tribes and Burma mainly. Never heard him mention India. This is the 92.5% stuff that gets black and grotty real easy (and never cleaned whilst on display in shops).
I'm not so sure on that. I will check the price (and grade) and report back. We're not talking about the street hawkers here. Silver is overpriced in Australia. I'm sceptical about these claims of US being cheaper than Thailand but will hold off until I know more about it.Originally Posted by Bettyboo
