Wolves v Liverpool today.
Assistant referee is Sian Massey a woman, i think, looks like one from a distance.
She must be FIFA accredited and so will we have women referees in shorts and t-shirts at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar ?

Watched the game and she had a good 'un.
Lets all hope that similar to male referees, no bra's are permitted and that it pours with rain during the 90 minutes. Sub zero temperatures occasionally replacing downpours would of course add a good deal of interest.
hopefully she pulled off any player if his tackle was dirty.
Please define "pulled off" as it could lead to a lot of confusion amongst the thread posters who are still a bit ignorant of the ways in the real world
I also thought she had a good game but did you see her face when she noticed that 2 others had turned up in the same outfit.
TV duo axed as second sexist recording emerges

CAUGHT IN CONTROVERSY: English lineswoman Sian Massey.
Two high-profile football pundits have been stood down as a second recording emerged of one of them making further sexist remarks about a female assistant referee.
Andy Gray, a former Scottish international striker, was caught on camera talking with a television reporter about lineswoman Sian Massey's appearance, Britain's Daily Mail reported.
The reporter was heard asking Gray whether Ms Massey was a "bit of a looker", as one footballer described her.
"He says she is all right," the reporter said. "Now I don't know if I should trust his judgment on that?"
Gray was seen replying: "Nah, I wouldn't. I definitely wouldn't."
The excerpt was made public as Gray and colleague Richard Keys were suspended from their usual Monday Night Football show on Sky.
The suspension came after the duo were recorded making "unacceptable remarks" about Ms Massey during the Wolves and Liverpool match on Sunday.
They reportedly believed their microphones were turned off.
Keys was heard saying: "Somebody better get down there and explain offside to [Ms Massey]."
Gray replied: "Can you believe that? A female linesman. Women don't know the offside rule."
Keys then replied: "Course they don't. I can guarantee you there will be a big one today. Kenny [Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish] will go potty. This isn't the first time, is it? Didn't we have one before?"
A television replay later proved Ms Massey's call was correct, the Daily Mail reported.
The pair also attacked West Ham United director Karren Brady.
"See the charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism? Yeah. Do me a favour, love," Keys said.
Brady told BBC radio the comments made her "blood boil".
"Forget myself for a second, because what was said about me is a personal opinion and everyone is entitled to that," London's Daily Telegraph reported her as saying.
"What really upsets me is the fact only females in our industry are judged by their gender. And that is categorically wrong."
She added: "I'm genuinely disappointed. It never would have occurred to me that they had those views, whether public or private."
Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis was scathing in his reaction to the duo's comments.
"I have spoken directly to both Richard Keys and Andy Gray this morning," Francis said.
"It has been made clear to each of them that their comments were totally unacceptable. Those views are entirely inconsistent with our ethos as a business and employer, and will rightly offend many of our customers, our people, and the wider public.
"They are inexcusable from anyone at Sky, regardless of their role or seniority. We have dealt with this matter by taking immediate disciplinary action. As with any employee it would not be right to go into detail on those proceedings.
"However, they have been clearly warned about their behaviour and reminded of their responsibilities. In addition, Richard and Andy will not be involved in any way with tonight's live Monday Night Football.''
Sue Tibballs, chief executive of the Women's Sport and Fitness Foundation, said the men's views were "outdated bunkum."
"Our research shows that if you ask kids ... whether sports are for girls or boys, they are much more open-minded, and sport is becoming less gendered, if you like, in their eyes," Tibballs told Sky News.
"Obviously, for people that are older in years, they are holding attitudes that are not in step with that."
More than 850 women are referees in England at various levels.
"The FA has made real strides in encouraging both male and female match officials to enter the game at every level," the Football Association said in a statement.
The FA's Kelly Simmons told BBC television Massey had "got there on merit."
Gray did praise Massey during the game for making the right call on the Liverpool goal. Liverpool went on to win 3-0.
a bit ruff but if they can do the job why not.
Sorry: presenter phones football official over sexist remarks
January 25, 2011 - 9:59AM
Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has telephoned assistant referee Sian Massey to apologise for his sexist off-air comments about her during a Premier League match.
Keys and Andy Gray were dropped from Monday's line-up for the match between Bolton and Chelsea after the row over sexist remarks.
The pair caused controversy after agreeing female officials "don't know the offside rule" and predicting Massey would drop a clanger during Wolves' home game against Liverpool on Saturday.
She ended up correctly calling a crucial borderline decision.
Keys' telephone call to Massey on Monday was confirmed by a spokesman for Professional Game Match Officials (PGMO).
She was said to have accepted the apology and to be keen to move on from the matter, and will be an assistant at the npower League Two match between Crewe and Bradford on Tuesday night.
The PGMO insist that Massey holds her position on merit and is keen to act as a positive role model for women's refereeing.
there is a couple of girls who are goal umpires in afl in the top grade and mens soccer as well dont see to many though.
DAKABIN’S Casey Reibelt has become the first woman to officiate a men’s soccer match in Asia, after refereeing a game in the Maldives recently.
The Project Future product said she was unaware of the significance of the achievement until she arrived in the Maldives.
``At first I didn’t think too much of it, in Australia, we have plenty of female referees,’’ she said.
``It is not until you appreciate the type of environment over there: it is a Muslim society and it is a big thing for a woman to take charge of a football game over there.’‘
The game was not without incident, with Reibelt showing five yellow cards and giving two penalties.
However, it was not too much different than officiating any other match.
``I didn’t have any problems, any game you have, they usually try it on and that is anywhere,’’ she said.
Reibelt was invited to officiate the game as part of the Project Future program, which she was selected for at a refereeing carnival.
She has been a referee for eight years after starting when she was 15.
``My cousin was a referee and it was a good way to be involved in the game in another aspect,’’ she said.
``I ended up enjoying it a little more than expected.’’
Reminds me of the 'Ron Atkinson affair' a few years ago when he called Marcel Desailly the N word. he quite appropriately, was sacked from his job, despite apologising to Marcel.
You have to laugh at some of the male tv pundits who plainly have no understanding of the offside law themselves, despite having played the game at the highest level.
I doubt Keys and Gray will suffer sackings over their comments as any replacements would probably hold similar views/values on females within the game.
Andy Gray and Richard Keys, suspended for offending a woman referee assistant ?
I couldnt agree more,
the only line a woman should be near is the one shes putting my washing on
What if we do? I can't see that being a problem for anybody but the extreme mussies and, if it is a problem for them, fuck 'em!Originally Posted by Bower
I hope not. I have no problem with Muslims but I do have a major problem with Muslim states trying to impose their barbaric regimes on others (others including their own populations). It's more than time people stood up to them and said that this is the way we do it in the real world and if you don't like it eff off back to your sandcastles and stop bothering the Grown-ups.

From BBC: Sky have sacked leading football presenter Andy Gray.
Sky have sacked football presenter Andy Gray with immediate effect.
The pundit had already been disciplined for sexist comments made about female referee Sian Massey before Saturday's match between Wolves and Liverpool.
The 55-year-old and colleague Richard Keys were stood down for Monday's match between Bolton and Chelsea.
And on Tuesday, Sky said they terminated Gray's contract "in response to new evidence of unacceptable and offensive behaviour".
Sky's statement continued: "The new evidence, relating to an off-air incident that took place in December, 2010, came to light after Andy Gray had already been subjected to disciplinary action for his comments of 22 January, 2011."
Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis said: "Andy Gray's contract has been terminated for unacceptable behaviour. After issuing a warning yesterday, we have no hesitation in taking this action after becoming aware of new information today."
Massey, meanwhile, has been withdrawn from her duties as an assistant referee for Tuesday's League Two game between Crewe and Bradford.
The furore began on Saturday when Keys and Gray, believing their microphones were switched off, were recorded saying that Massey and other female assistant referees "did not know the offside rule".
Keys has since called Massey, who has accepted the broadcaster's apology.
However, new footage emerged on Monday of Gray talking off-air with Sky Sports' pitchside reporter Andy Burton about Massey.
Sky News reported that the pair discussed Massey's appearance, with Burton referring to Massey as "a bit of a looker" while Gray asks: "What do women know about the offside rule?"
Earlier on Tuesday it was announced that Burton was "spoken to and warned" about his remarks and that he will not be involved in Sky's coverage of Wednesday's Carling Cup tie between Birmingham and West Ham.
More to follow.

Good to see Gray got the boot, hopefully Keys is next.
I think Richard Keys should be sacked after his ignorant, sexist comments on TV. Sky Sports should set an example and give his job to a female presenter. Preferably one with really big tits.
sacking him for for being Scottish would have been more acceptable ,
bit over the top to sack him for off air comments .How did we get so over sensitive ?
Ron Atkinson was sacked too , all he said was '' that's what's commonly known as a big thick nigger '' off air .
if anyone's racist in football it is the black players themselves ,every single one has a white girl friend or wife .Racist scum
I am all for pretty women refs etc .should send them out with a cane too , to whack any mouthy players
I hope with ladies now officiating within earshot of foul mouthed cretins like Wayne Rooney that these lads can use more more words on the pitch rather then those beginning with the letters C and F.
Dave thats naughty , but funny
And yes Keys should be sacked also ,, he was lucky last time and Im bored shitless of him , he,s been there too long
Bollocks, the pair of them were just having a bit of banter.
Whats the world coming to when you cant have a laugh
All of this was said off camera out of earshot and has been blown out of all proportion
She has already accepted Hairy Hands apology
She better have socals GF sized nuts, when she is confronted by a Roy Keane or Joey Barton or Alex Fergusson when she fucks up
Take the swearin out the game then you will withdraw the passion too
The fukkin PC brigade out in effect again
Im no sexist but this is football and to some its bigger than religion. me included, and i never seen a female pope
